Could A Prometheus Sequel Incorporate a Bladerunner Sequel?

This got me thinking, what if the sequel to Prometheus also ends up becoming the sequel to Bladerunner, in effect combining elements from Ridley's most famous sci-fi movies into one?
I seem to think that once Ridley said that the crew of the Nostromo wouldn't look out of place in a diner or somewhere in the LA of Bladerunner.
It would be interesting to speculate as to how this Prometheus/Bladerunner crossover could work.

I hope not ..Bladerunner is a deeply serious movie with deep thoughts about what we are and if there is life after death ( the only difference between us and the replicants ) .. while Alien was a magnificent horror movie but with no deep thoughts ...mixing the 2 things will be atrocious because connecting the space jockeys to bladerunner will be very silly and tryng to give deep meanings to Alien would ruin the overall atmosphere .Alien was a very basic , ground to earth movie with prima fears and scares and for that it did work .

NEVER!
IT WOULD COMPLETELY DESTROY THE ORIGINALITY BUT MUCH KORE IMPORTANTLY THE CREDIBILITY OF BOTH FRANCHISES... IMO
GREAT IDEA THOUGH

I think Scott had anticipated doing a 2-part movie originally. Don't know what ever came of that.

Wow this is a very itchy topic! the two worlds take place in a dofferent stream of time. Dont know how it could be worked. But then again it could work with the off world stuff abd the androids.

If you want to do good movies you have to forget the geeks , AvP was a geek operation that failed miserably .

Guess I've opened a can of worms here!
Regarding Predatordreads comment about different timestreams:
Prometheus is said to be set in about 2090, thirty years before Alien, how about the Bladerunner sequel moving 60 years into the future from 2019 to 2089 so its roughly the same time? I have an idea it could be based around replicants/androids and that could tie in with biomechanoids.
Regarding Frantz's comments on crossovers:
AVP had some good ideas I don't think it was as disastrous as everyone made out.
I know its heard to say how this could work as we don't know the full Prometheus story (or Bladerunner sequel's) I'm just having a bit of fun y'know!

This thread made me consider a couple of things about this movie I hadn't considered before.
The first is that no one has discussed Ridley Scott's take on what earth looks like in 2090 even after he showed us what Los Angeles looks like in 2019. That thought alone makes me more excited to see what he'll come up with, given the fact that he practically invented the sci-fi urban sprawl aesthetic with Blade Runner, a template so many other films have been inspired by.
The second is that no one in the alien series has shown us what earth looks like. Ridley, ironically enough, gets to be the first.

Not in the first three films no. We do get a small glimpse in the alternate ending of Alien Resurrection, (can't believe i've just used Alien Resurrection as an example, forgive me!)

If you look carefully in the background as the Betty lands you can see the wrecage of a craft that looks awfully simular to the Sulaco. Better seen on the dvd & blu ray.

Enough with the hate for Alien: Resurrection already. Asking for forgiveness for referring to it is silly and just shows how unable people are to have a free thinking opinion about a movie sometimes. Wake up call, all 4 films have their flaws and their questionable motives, but It gets tiresome to hear all of the negativity towards the 4th film when it introduced a lot of interesting concepts and ideas. It was a stab at making a unique and interesting take on the universe and therefore had balls bigger than anybody beforehand (outside of Scott of course). I am in no way saying it is great but the opinions offered as asides and jeers get annoying. Sorry. Just speaking my mind :-)

Alien Resurrection had a good script , a good director and a good cast ..was really hard to make a sequel to alien 3 ... unfortunately the mood of alien3 is similar to alien ...and the mood of alien resurrection is similar to aliens and that create hipcups in the storytelling of the entire saga .
What dont work to me in Alien Resurrection are 3 things
1) is too short in the middle part , so interesting people die too fast ( the script was better )
2) the bad guy is too straight forward , the aliens must be the bad guys
3) the entire robot/ryder part dont work for me
