MemberOvomorph12/4/2011Great site and really looking forward to the film next year. I'm thinking from what has been leaking out that humans are responsible for creating the xenomorths as we know them from the films. However, are these acid blooded creatures created due to David the android being subject to the creators jelly like in the leaked films synopsis that has been posted / rather than becoming human? I think it is clear from the trailer that the explorers do something accidentely to cause something catastrophic ..........

MemberOvomorph12/4/2011Scott's Ash was really an android ... someone with no self coscience ..,just a tool , even if a perfect one .
I find a bit absurd the idea of an android that become human ...its like my pc that start to make philosophical questions ... so even in a sci-fo movie that will be a bit too over the top .
So , given the love of Giger of biomechanical things , i can see your theory more realistic and possibile . David >> biomechanical Creatures
BTW there are not leaked synopsis until now .

MemberOvomorph12/4/2011I'm also thinking that the Xeno's are related to the Jockey's. Perhaps like insects? The Xeno's are the worker drones and the Jockey's are a higher intelligence. Maybe some of the posts about the Jockey's experimenting in reproducing means that when humans medal the xeno's as we know it are the result........ The picture with the 'possible egg' and 'possible jockey' look very alien to me - thus why I think they are quite similar creatures....

MemberOvomorph12/5/2011Remember there are two androids in the movie one we know is David. If the other is a plant by WYC similar to Alien, although I'd doubt Scott would repeat this plot idea, then there could be interference by the android in the Engineers process for human evolution resulting in a boi mech being. Will David be similar to Ash or a much more basic robot/andriod in this movie? Or will he evolve into a monster?

Juxtapose
MemberOvomorph12/5/2011well drones and robots set aside....their definitely is a huge similarity between the Jockeys and Xeno's( as BellaLikesAliens already mentioned)...a jockey to me is a bigger more intelligent xeno with a different shaped head...seriously if u look at the original jockey from alien....its anatomy is very similar to that of a xeno...the arms and legs and torso are nearly identical...just a different head and no tail....actually the jockey is seated...so it might even have a tail for all we know...they definitely share dna ...it looks like they where molded from the same clay..... thats just my humble little opinion...don't really care if anyone agrees or disagrees...just my 2c's worth!....actually wait ...no!....it would be nice if someone agreed!...lol

Biomechanic
MemberOvomorph12/5/2011It's Giger's artistic style that makes them similar but whether the writers decide to use the similarity as part of the mythology or or not is yet to be determined.

Juxtapose
MemberOvomorph12/5/2011jes we must bear in mind that Giger's artistic style had to be very consistent...the caves the xeno's and the space jockey.....a xeno can quite literally camouflage itself within the cave walls....it would be silly if they deviated to much from the original footage of the jockey carcass....that would really break any existing ties to the original masterpiece from 1979.
