I think its being done on purpose just to tease the fans. IMO, FOX knows how popular the leaked trailer was (who probably leaked it themselves) and want to see how us fans respond to the delay.

,,,,from the angle the teaser was taken i am sure they must have caught the culprit by now...assuming they did not plan it all along?....how big are these screening rooms....how many people get to see it?

trailer probably isn't ready yet. they're just using the leaked trailer as an excuse. many companies do this btw.

Aren't these leakers usually outed in the media? If secrecy clauses are being signed then surly anyone who breaks them will be made an example out of / penalised / kicked off production? I've had a good look around the internet and cant find anything of such description which makes me think even more that the leak was actually controlled by FOX.

This so called leaked trailer has certainly not done any harm...it is a very clever marketing ploy.......actually quite brilliant.....bet they gonna hold of on the official trailer...their might be more so called leaks in the future.....and why is the sound quality so much better than the visuals....if it was taken by a cell....why is their no interference from the crowd whom actually saw it......one has to wonder?

ROFL I work with Seniors, and they love to live vicariously through me and my stories and my likes and dislikes. I have been raving about this film for months to them and how excited I am about it, and how excited I was about the leaked trailer. Would you believe it that three of the residents ranging in age from 85~92 years of age said that they think that the movie studio leaked the trailer themselves. Seriously, I am with them... If someone that age thinks that, it has to be real!!

Ahh this is starting to kill me.... and to think we had such an amazing week of news goodies for a bit... :P Figures FOX gives us the Finger... again...

Trust me when I tell you that the trailer will not change your life. It will come and go. It saddens me to realize, as I read and write here sleeplessly, that we are devoting too much energy to this. (That must amuse Fox execs) Posting comments , scanning old (and quite bad) novels by Alan Dean Foster, changing profile pics, and discussing each detail ad naseum... If I were a casual observer I would say we all should get a life! Alas, I am but a fanboy of the fiction, and I'll see this film on its opening day, and I'll probably lurk about this site a few more times between now and then, but I won't be a big poster here. I am excited to see the Alien progenetor imagined by its greatest director. And I am saddened to see us sucking up to this movie which might ultimately disappoint us all. So go about your lives now and create something wonderful yourself. You all seem wonderfully creative. There are plenty of disappointing movies out there to see ie THE THING! An plenty to recommend as in HUGO. PROMETHEUS will be along shortly- go about your lives now. There's nothing to see here. And by the way, move out of your parents' house immediately,
