"Deep down in its scaly heart, Prometheus is an Alien prequel, but not as we know it."

"The crew of the Prometheus (the ship’s name designed to echo the Greek myth) follow a perplexing message to a planet that will open their eyes and their chests to a new alien race. "- Hmmm...interesting...

“I’ve locked up all the sweet stuff…” Including something familiar, perhaps?" - Scott.
Ohh boy..he is teasing us!

Omg getting pretty excited for this
But now he says it is a prequel but not as we know it wtf
Definitely some juicy information in there, a good read to hold me over till this trailer is released or maybe it will never be released lol

Hi Frantz,
I think that the article was referring to the LV-426/Planetoid that was created for the original ALIEN film...I think.

btw it seems that everyone ( cast , director ) belive in this movie more that the normal facade optmism ... the trailer ( even in crappy quality ) was totally awesome
someone said that the image of the guy tryng the flamethrower with the horn as soudtrack was the best movie scene of the year ....i agree .

In questo caso: Sono d'accordo ... maledetta l'inglese ... sto scherzando! :-)
I agree...everyone connected to this project seems pretty damn excited!

Great article. Scott sure is teasing us with this new masterpiece of his, and I'm sure this will the movie of the decade.

Ok I live in Montreal, Quebec so I can translate what Neurion just said up there...the french part...
It says
"I accept"
then
"English Whores"
then
"I, pleasant" whatever the heck that one means!!!
LOL

in an interview today Noomi hinted at a possibility of a sequel ..
And Digital Spy asked Rapace if she believes there's enough for Prometheus to have any sequels, to which she replies coyly:
"Yeah... maybe"
Remember that FOX usaully planned a movie to reboot tha alien franchise directed by Carl Rinsch ... before of course they rerouted over Scott ....then with Spaihts they planned to make 2 Prequels ...and we still dont know if they have abbandoned the idea .
December 16, 2011
Frantz: You know FOX will make a sequel pending on how much money they line their pockets with the income....if it is a success, then they will though I wonder if Scott will pursue or leave it like Cameron departed Terminator 2? Also, Scott is up there in age but still looks strong....
The marketing on this movie will be viral as we approach June...start small and then ramp it up and make people get wet at the lips...

@Sparticus
Dude...that was some funny shite! I guess that's what I get for using GOOGLE Translate. "Frantz" had mad a joke about his post's being translated into nonsensical english, and said "damned English"...then as an attempt at humor...I attempted to respond with a joke...first in French...then in Italian. G-d only knows...what it ended up as...
I'd probably have better luck...if I just sent an acousical beacon...repeating at intervals of 12 seconds. Haha...corny again...Geez, this isn't my day...I swear....

Looks to me that the scope of Prometheus is much more than Alien, which to me, was a monster, horror movie, with a science fiction background. Now he's getting into the philosophical questions that science fiction can be so good for doing, though it's going to still be a very scary ride I think!

This film is a 200 million dollar project, so yeah, I think it is going to be bigger than Alien...epic in scope...scot't's master piece hopefully...
