Yesterday, it was revealed that the debut trailer for Ridley Scott's upcoming sci-fi epic, Prometheus, will be released online this coming Thursday. Now, those in the US will get to watch the trailer early with screenings of David Fincher's Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which will hit theaters beginning tonight at 7 PM. Below is Coming Soon's report on the matter...
20th Century Fox is currently counting down the Thursday online launch of the trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus at iTunes Movie Trailers with daily teaser clips, but we've received word that you can actually see the trailer in theaters starting Tuesday night at 7 p.m. nationwide with David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!
Also, someone who was attending an early screening of the film last night also saw the trailer, and posted it on their Twitter profile, confirming the above report and revealing the exact time length of the trailer.

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011and for who dont want to go see a story that he already know or think that Fincher is the most overrated director ever rembember that they should release the 3rd minitrailer later ....

add to the fact he had the balls to disown Alien3, because of the troubled pre-production, interference and changes during production and changes the producers made in post-production.

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011Considering how it was Given to Mr. Fincher...how the suits at fox treated him...the false pretenses in which this was done...what was promised to him...what was done behind his own back on the set to him...what was taken away from him...and the mess he was given to take over to begin with...
The extended cut of Alien 3 which was made in haste years later and out of respect for him...
is a Masterpiece.

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011OMG the hype for the trailer is so big that for a split second i thought that the movie was coming out this Thursday lol no joke! if this is what the wait for the trailer is like i wonder what it will be like a few days before the actual movie is released :)

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011Id have to agree with Sparky...The longer cut of Alien 3 is a huge improvement I personally really enjoy it.. ..I also thnk Fincher is worth a punt...id be paying to see his take on the Tattoo film and the fact I get THE trailer is a massive bonus....be a great night out...

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011Yeah, I don't understand why GwtDT needed a hollywood re-make, either. The original is really good, and anyone who can't be bothered to read subtitiles isn't a real movie buff, anyway.
As for "Alien 3"[i] the story[/i] stands well on its' own, but [i]as a commercial exercise[/i], it was just silly to imagine that going from dozens of "regular" aliens and a gigantic queen, back to a lone xenomorph was ever going to work.

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011I agree that sometimes re-makes are a waste..but I think they're worth it if you have a director that may not be afraid to put his on mark on it...trailer looks great...id love to be seeing it tonight...

I know it seems like a waste of $ and just in a general sense, but to see it for the first time on the big screen would be mindblowing. Its not set in stone that im doing it I guess you'll find out tomorrow lol, we'll see

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011i cant understand Hollywood's obsession of remaking good foreign film simply to embrace a american audience. Tale the remake of let the right one in the original was great and like the girl with the dragon tattoo trilogy it didn't need to be remade the originals have a dubbed in English option but I prefer to watch foreign language films in their native language and read the subs.
I think Fincher's a fine director by the way and definitely in my top 5 of working directors today -although even he has had his share of turkeys (Benjamin button), As for Trent reznor didn't he contribute to the score of seven even for the title sequences .
the question i keep wanting answered more than most is who's scoring Prometheus ?

MemberOvomorph12/20/2011I went tonight at 7 and unfortunatley they didn't feature it. Don't get your hopes up. Just wait until Thursday. I saw the leaked one on Youtube. Wish they would of showed it in my theater......
