Clearly shows that the star map room and Jockey pilots chair room are one and the same. Also who is that very tall guy seen in the first two images - a Jockey without the suit... looks like a giant human to me.

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011I think is better to not link to other forums , if not for news ... otherwise you disperse our community .... that was until now safe and quite relaxed .
regarding your assumption yes we already saw too many "mutated" people but is hard to say the dimension of that person inside ...can be even shaw . i think that with the full res trailer we will see better

MemberTrilobite12/21/2011@ Frantz - Many of us all have already posted links to other forums (the stills from the first and second look pre-trailers from AVP Spectrum). Next, I guarantee that many of us are also members of other forums, thus trying to accuse me of dispersing our community is ludicrous. IMO this forum is the most mature and intelligent of the others I am a member of.
Next, you completely missed the point of the link that I posted - it was not regards the possibility of mutants. Look at Engineer1's post containing the three images that clearly show that the star map room and the room with the Space Jockey's chair are one and the same.
Finally, I have never said anything untoward in your direction Frantz, yet I have noticed that whenever you comment on anything I, or others, post your comments are belittling and obnoxious. I have ignored this until now, but quite frankly I'd like to know what your problem with me and others within this forums community is, no-one else here has a problem with me (Tec-B and I have kissed and made up), but yet you seem to have a problem with me and almost everyone else - WHY?

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011maybe your answer explain while i will not like that our forum will become like the others ? Like someone else have said this forum is a safe port for who want to talk relaxed ...maybe if i sometimes pointed in your direction is because , like you confirm with your answer , you had an attitude more like "the other forums".
But of course i can be wrong , lets not things to heat up ..i can be wrong regarding you and you regarding me ( maybe avoid that "you against us" huh ? )

MemberTrilobite12/21/2011As I stated this forum is mature and intelligent, and yes I agree relaxed, the other two dealing with Aliens and such I find one to be ignorant, and the other to be childish. And another that I have been a member of for nearly 4 years (game orientated) is split between childish and mature depending upon the section you post in.
I have never come across as either childish nor ignorant, thus my attitude does not reflect those forums. I am a mature fan of the collective franchise and regard both Giger and Trent Reznor as my creative inspirations.
Regardless, and in the nature of this forum I accept your gesture of peace, just do not presume to assume a persons nature because they linked to another forum. If so that makes BugHunter a baby in diapers (no offence BugHunter).
The link I referred to is valid, and I pointed to it because Engineer1 deserves the credit for noticing it. Also I think it is of interest to us all, as it seems to hint that the directions given in the star-map room are found within a Space Jockey ship.

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011ok thing closed for me ..maybe next time upload the images here so people can see them immediately and we can more easily discuss about them here ( with imegeshack it take 2 seconds )

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011Nice find Snorklebottom! Yeah a higher res may show more details in that frame, but it does appear that the map room and pilot seat are in the same chamber or at least an identical room.
Anyone else happen to see that one frame where it looks as if Shaw is being held down by several other crew members in distress? Looked very reminiscent of Kane's final scene in Alien.
I just went back to the home page to view the trailer again to see what the time stamp was on that scene, but it appears FOX has already killed that link now. :(

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011I believe that is how the "creature" or "jockey" guides the ship like a navigation system...like a HUDS display in aircraft...maybe this scene is important to the climax where we see the ship crashing...

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011and the creepy bald guy...the "others"....Hmmmm....this just gets better and better by the minute...

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011It just raises more questions. Were humans to blame all along for the entire sequence of events that resulted in this franchise? Was the Space Jockey a human that got tangled in this xenomorphic web even earlier than the crew of Prometheus? Did their employers send a lone explorer out to investigate even earlier and this is what he returned with? Obviously biomechanical technology is a veritable pandora's box of possibilities. The rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper and I took the RED pill a long time ago. We'll just consider this a free fall of discovery.

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011I'm beginning to think time travel again. Here is a map room for planning trips or plotting invasions or infestations. In order to do such things and monitor their development you would have to be about to manipulate time.

Gavin
MemberTrilobite12/21/2011Although time travel is a science fiction stable, I would lose all interest in Prometheus if time travel was involved.

Micro changes in air density
MemberOvomorph12/21/2011I agree it would be difficult to pull if off and retain some credibility but it is a very topical subject right now.

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011As I've indicated elsewhere - the observations are marvellous. Particularly the giant bald guy. So he's our jockey, fair enough to presume. Cue ; "God made Man in His own image"allegory....
I still think there's going to be an introduction of more than one creature - probably through the mutation process. I don't think they'll have played all their cards with still 6 months to go before release.
I'm thinking I'll watch the trailer tomorrow - then switch off for a bit. I'm not sure I want to know anymore...but the journalist within keeps calling.... lol

Micro changes in air density
MemberOvomorph12/21/2011I reckon that's a major breakthrough for us nerds. The jockey is a humanoid who as Snork has said laid the foundations for the human race (Or maybe his old man did). It is an advanced form of us what we may become in time. But we want his secrets to mankind and eternal life and inadvertently start a war.

MemberOvomorph12/21/2011Like a lot of us here (I think) I really hope that Mr SpaceJockey is not human not even 1%. If they did that I would hate Lindelof forever, and would be disappointed in Ridley a lot.
But I trust them for now.

Things get real messy with time travel involved. For me this element initially worked well in Lost before turning into a big old sticky mess ....... With an appalling ending that ruined the whole thing for me, but that's another story (not a fan of Damon Lindelof for this reason though). Time travel, mutant humans, transmodnification (!) .......... Getting a bit concerned about this now.

MemberTrilobite12/22/2011Don't get me wrong, time travel can work if it is integral to the plot (a la Terminator), but in Prometheus I dont think it will work, the whole "we created ourselves" idea is ludicrous.
Another idea I don't like is one that has been mentioned a few times, the idea that the Alien as we know being created by accident, by our meddling, as a result of our DNA - the whole android/human becomes xeno idea. I have always imagined the Alien to be almost as old as the Jockeys themselves, kinda their pet project, their crowning achievement.
While on a roll another idea I don't like is the possibility of the Jockey born Alien being a Queen and laying all the eggs in the derelicts cargo bay. That cargo bay was obviously purposely built for the eggs, as shown by the eggs arrangement and the fact that they were "protected" by a layer of laser-mist, that reacted when broken.
I know all these ideas are not guaranteed to be in Prometheus, and most likely probably are not, I just feel that the direction we all assume the story is going in can be done well, really well, just so long as predetermined facts aren't ignored and ludicrous ideas are kept far and away from what promises to be the best film in a long, long time.

MemberOvomorph01/14/2012I do believe that Ridley Scott got Damon Lindeloff for a reason. I do hope it is not because of time travel, but it is pushing in that direction, through seeing damon do it in lost series and put it in Star Trek. It would be great if the Jockey wouldn´t be a transformed human from the Future, that would ruin alot and i would hate the Movie. But i think Ridley has other things planed.
