MemberTrilobite12/11/2011I posted recently my thoughts regarding one of the stills from Prometheus showing Vickers/Shaw in a cryotube/scanner with a hand in frame.
Originally I suggested that it may be Shaw (Rapace) inside a cryotube with David's (Fassbender) hand on top, hinting that the android David may secret harbour sexual feelings towards her, as possibly hinted at in the recent HQ picture in the ampule room.
Now although the above may or may not be true, I remembering the stills of Vickers (Theron) going "psycho" (closeup and crouched in a doorway) and the still of the display mentioning an abdomanial scan, I am inclined to believe that David may harbour sexual feelings fro Vickers instead. Of course there is the possibility that David has such feelings to all women.
Add to the mix the possibility of a second android, which many have theorised could be either Shaw or Vickers, and it all gets a little complex. Personally I believe that Vickers could be an android when taking into account her seemingly "highly professional" look that somewhat mirrors that of Ash in Alien, which I assume deteriorates after the scan of her abdomen (the psycho pics I mentioned earlier) and leads to some form of transformation (human/xeno/Space Jockey/other).
The more and more I think of the roles of the android(s) in Prometheus the more I wonder which aspects of these characters we will see.

MemberOvomorph12/11/2011Your theory is sound, it kinda fits in with the idea I had that Human + Space Jockey = Xenomorph. I also like the possibilty of there being two droids. David - good droid, Vickers - bad droid?

MemberOvomorph12/11/2011i think that you are presuming a bit too much ...to me fassbender is explaining something to rapace ...to be honest i dont see sexual interest in that face expression ( its the same expression i do when i ask for bread to the hairy guy in the shop ..now im worried ) ... the hand on the cryo can be the one of Marshall Green that is worried for her ...
i know that is very funny to try to undersant what is going on but lets not exhagerate huh ...

MemberOvomorph12/11/2011Vickers IS an android, she's the second one, we found this out somewhere I forget where and how but it has to be her.
I think we found something where she even suggests it's the case.
Bottom line...one of those two Androids is a plant from "The Company" !!!
Or both are but only one of them has "another agenda" !!!
I am betting it's Vickers!

MemberOvomorph12/11/2011That was my guess,that the 2nd rumoured android has been programmed to steal the alien tech and thats why the Jockies go mad.

Vickers = Ash - cunning, secretive, sexual wanting, company agenda.
Not very original, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

MemberOvomorph12/12/2011Yeah not too original really, and they've fed us this view through the info they've released... There's more to the story for sure unless they really stress the David being a friendly Bishop-type android and possibly the surprise survivor/hero idea that's floated around.

MemberOvomorph12/12/2011My theory involves Shaw being the secret android, i think it would be too obvious if it was Vickers, Scott has too much invested for that. There are screen shots of Shaw's flashbacks to when she was a kid. I think these are memory implants to make her think she's human. That whole theme worked well for Scott in Blade Runner and it hasn't really been revisited since. Just a thought!
P.s wasn't the trailer meant to be out today???

MemberTrilobite12/12/2011Which makes me think that Shaw isn't the android. Ridley will know that his fans may suspect that very link of implanted memories from Bladerunner, and thus will avoid such an obvious idea. Think about from a writers point of view - you want to keep your audience guessing and second guessing, not figuring out an important twist within the first five minutes.
regards the trailer, thats what I heard, but as of yet nothing. But the days not over yet.

MemberOvomorph12/12/2011Good thought Enderwiggin. I cant help thinking that Scott is going to have to go radical on this to get away from the last couple of Alien failures. I reckon on earth the scientists get it wrong and go looking for something that isnt there. Instead they find a race bent on destruction but are blind to it (Being Scientists) and dont recognize this until the last minute. By then they have sent out a signal haling their wonderful discovery and the greedy company sends a ship with mercenaries and a driod to recover the specimen or whatever. i reckon this droid might be Ash or an earlier model Ash who then does the dirty but in fact survives being the only one to ID the xeno hence the tie in with Alien and his/the company knowledge of LV426 and the eggs.
