MemberOvomorph12/22/2011Just wanted to remind everyone that Ridley Scott may indeed be intentionally misleading the audience. I would not be suprised if we saw the traditional xenomorph in the form we recognized at some point in the movie. Since Ridley Scott is developing the Space Jockey remember in Alien 1 a portion of its ribs indicated chest burster damage.

Details regarding the first Alien were under much secrecy, I see no reason why this wouldn't be as well.

Agent Mothman
MemberOvomorph12/22/2011Well if this thing truly is a suit, what creature could be inside it is anybody's guess. As for the apparent opening, maybe some sort of large chest-burster had done it. But the real question is; how the hell did this possible face-hugger get inside the suit?

MemberOvomorph12/22/2011In the original Alien Dallas commented that 'it's like it exploded from the inside' or something. Obviously we soon found out what that was all about when it was dinner time on the Nostromo!

Most likely, the Jockey was impregnated BEFORE getting in the suit. He started to burst while flying the ship and it crashed. That's what probably happens in Prometheus.

MemberOvomorph12/23/2011Pulled this from another forum, a bit disheartening if true. Disregard my original post if so.

[derelict craft from alien]doesn't even land the same way, there's a lot of details that simply don't add up, and the fact that Scott is trying to deviate it as much as he can from Alien points to the idea that it's a different ship.
Also, he said that the end of the film WON'T lead to Alien (1979), that should be enough reason to believe it's not a recreation of what happened in LV-426. They have an entirely different containment system for the facehuggers somehow and it's...the same ship? There's no space jockey even in the Goddamn cockpit and you think it's the same ship?No man, they had an interstellar empire. There's going to be more than one ship out there.[/i]

Alien
MemberOvomorph12/23/2011well the trailer didnt show the aftermath of the crash nor the whole crash from begining to the end of it with the debri clearing. so maye it is the same planet and ship... we just might have to wait and see... plus its 30 years before alien... so something could've happened in the area within that time.

MemberOvomorph12/23/2011I don't think we can really go off of the trailer in terms of the derelict's final resting spot. A lot of times studios flip the footage to throw off fans.
We'll have to wait, until trailer #2 or until the movie is released for more info.
