MemberOvomorph12/23/2011Hello all, Well it has been a month or two since my last post. I just wanted to sit back and see what people think and I love it.
A few months ago or longer I posted a topic about maybe in fact the Spake Jockeys were the Naphalim. They were seen as gods or angels. They were Giants who came to earth and helped. They mated with the human women and ended up from what I can understand having a war and most being destroyed and the rest fleeing.
Here my brief take so mind the holes as there are always some. Humans get the map detailos and go to meet their gods or the Engineers. They get there and there is nothing . They see all the ampules, start playing around all the time being watched and things being controlled against them by the gods above. The gods are pissed and decide to sned some reinforcements there to discipline these little children and then let the fun commence. On there way they crash or the humans do something to their ship. It crashed and they look inside and see lots of eggs or something similar, almost like it was a military ship. I know this is not what would happen but it is nice to venture into your imagination.

MemberOvomorph12/23/2011The crew's helmets are off in the ampule room. So either the room IS on the engineers homeworld and they pipe in oxygen (the rest of the shots of the new world have helmets) or the ampule room is on earth. more than likely that scene is a "discovery and investigation" that happens on earth.
Also - why would a highly advanced species that's mastered space travel mate with ancient human women? That would be a little like us going back in time and mating with neanderthal women. Besides the obvious physical dissimilarity that would cause there to be no attraction - this ignores the broader point that mating with a lesser organism would actually make the offspring "less than" an offspring from mating with a more evolved peer. Humans of today are much larger, smarter, etc. than our caveman/neanderthal interbreeding ancestors... Aliens who are smart enough to travel near or faster than the speed of light wouldn't make that mistake.

MemberOvomorph12/24/2011if it's on earth, why do they wear pressure suits? later you'll see those suits have a canopy attached, so it's meant for space.

As for the sexual relationships element, supposedly the Nephilim (the giants) were the offspring of the Sons of God & the daughters of men. Of course, that part in the Hebrew scriptures is still full of grey spots, so I can't confirm this. But I will say that Prometheus is going to have a lot of sexual undertones; I heard that we were originally created to be sex-slaves for the Space Jockey, but that's just something someone said.
