Has anybody noticed, that the Alien God that surrounds the alien life cycle pyramid looks exactly like an Alien Derelict? The shape defenitely suits, but try to notice little details...the little head, the fingers at the end and the centre of the body are all present in derelict`s imagines here : Sorry, if i you knew that and i wasted your time....

Superb, keen observation InMrSage. I love that nightmarish world of Giger and I hope they haven't shat on him regarding his input for this phenomenal looking film.

Very interesting...it's starting to look as if the pyramid/temple elements excised from the first film's story quite early on may have been revived as a basis for the new film.

Yeah...I realized that a few years ago. It really does look like Nut.

Yep, Gigeresque, at first i looked at the Nut discussion and then i saw that image that differs a little from the original....when i saw it i noticed those similiarities i discribed here...i saw the original post earlier but didn`t notice that before....i hurried to create this theme so i copied that image to do things faster...Don`t you mind?^^

I also noticed that the alien God above and the alien life cycle pyramid are a little bound...In my opinion the cycle on the image can show the ritual, where space jokeys invented the way to give the birth to their imagined "God" by a sacrifice, so that the creature will have their DNA. But this idea works only in the way if that is rly their imagined God...

The idea that the derelict is depicted as Nut has very interesting implications. Nut being a sky Goddess would be a perfect choice to represent a space ship and the eggs being found within her certainly fits with the movie alien. This however doesn't explain how the eggs were created unless you also look at this depiction of Nut being both a ship and a woman. Very clever of Giger if all of this is indeed intentional.

every shape every form every texture Giger used was meant to have a story behind it or just does in it's scientific nature, the guy isn't just some painter as I am sure you all know, but rather, he's a surrealist Genius !!!
