"British electronica musician Gazelle Twin (aka. Elizabeth Walling) has revealed in a recent interview and on Twitter that a track from her latest album, 'The Entire City', will be used in a promo film for Prometheus.
In the interview posted on John Foxx' official website, Metamatic, she says:
"... fortunately, I recently learned that a short track excerpt from The Entire City is going to be used in a short promotional film made for Prometheus, the new Ridley Scott sci-fi epic. It's huge news for me, not only as a life-long Alien fan ..."
Exactly what this promotional film is, and how and when it will be presented is still a mystery. Although, looking back at the countdown teasers Fox released ahead of the official trailer, it's quite likely they'll do something similar before the Prometheus premiere.
Gazelle Twin hasn't stated exactly which of the tracks from her album will be used on the promo, but her album is available on Spotify and a couple of tracks are on YouTube if you do a search."

MemberOvomorph02/14/2012Well then go back to the father ...John Foxx is a genius of music ...he DID change music while others went famous . Metamatic is a turning point for modern music .
His masterpieces are my soundtrack from more than 25 years ( im also a great ultravox fan )

....yeah I dig Ultravox and Midge Ure as well....who could forget...Vienna ...so mystic and so cool....also liked his earliers band Visage....that "fade to grey" number is what they best known for..

MemberOvomorph02/14/2012Yes Juxt .... there are so many Ultravox songs ( both with Foxx and with Ure ) that would be great pieces of soundtracks ... ( Mr.x ...Astradyne ...I remember .... My sex ....Just for a Moment ...Slow motion ...Private Lives ...The ascent ...ahhh too many ... ) ..and that not counting the fantastic solo career of Foxx and the also good one of Midge .
Many dont know but Foxx did a soundtrack for Antonioni too .

MemberOvomorph02/14/2012Frantz I am more fimiliar with Midge Ure....I have only heard one album from ultravox....the one with Vienna....bought it just for that song.....but I found the rest of the album rather pleasant....later I got the greatest hits of Midge ure....i saw him performing "Phantom of the opera" with Heather Nova...(one of my other favourite artists...check it out

MemberOvomorph02/14/2012Checked the John Foxx site for the link to Gazelle Twin, but couldn't
find anything. I love the late 70s/early 80s Electro scene too, with a passion.
I'm happy there's even a tenuous link to Prometheus to this music genre.
It would be nice to have a retro synth-based soundtrack for the main film, but
laced with a very dark ambient style in keeping with the subject matter and as a
nod to the era in which both Alien and Blade Runner were made.

MemberOvomorph02/14/2012yep midge have a great voice ( still good ) ...and i saw that great performance too. Btw now with youtube is possible to hear everything and then decide to buy ...give a try to the john foxx tracks expecially the ultravox of the Foxx era .
BTW i dont find that Gazelle track so great ..average music at best ( imo )

I can't find any mention of Prometheus or Ridley Scott. I even used the "search" function of my browser in case I skipped over those two terms. Can the OP please supply the link to the web page where this interview appears? If not, I call B.S.
