in a free world your freedoom end when mine start ...if i open a thread every hour i damage the others right to have an interesting and clear forum . In a free world you CANT do whatever you want , but you have to respect the others too ,

If not then I have the freedom not to read it and continue on to another thread. The only way in a free world that my freedom would end when yours starts is if you are trying to impose your will over mine. You have the freedom not to read this thread, but if you impose your will to have the thread removed you have taken away Alejandro's freedom.

im not a moderator and they should handle this better ...but he posted a thing ..no one replied ...he posted another time ...so i replied because i thought it was KIND to do it ...another replied too ...he DIDNT answer our GENTLE posts and insted he did open another THREAD ...and then another ... I was the "kind one" giving him some satisfaction ( go to check yourself ) but he was not interested he did just wanted visibility so he kept opening threads . Thats why is said what i said . I always try to give a reply to everyone because is sad to post something and no one care about you ...but he was not interested in discussing with us ...he was spamming .

Actually your response was wrong because this is an Alien Discussion forum and not a Prometheus forum so it is relevant to an Alien plot. What really got me though was your warped sense of what freedom is. In what world do you live where anyone should not be able to post a thread here? Not matter how annoying you might think it is, that is just your opinion. I followed the links and found some of the material very interesting.

He was just saying that if everyone posts the same stuff over and over again just to get attention then the site becomes repetitive and boring making it less enjoyable for the rest of us. English is not his native tongue and sometimes when he expresses himself it comes off harsher than intended. I also think people need to be more thoughtful before starting a new topic.

I completely agree. All the way up to the point where you (plural not singular) try to stifle the posts you don't like or find annoying. A boring thread will take care of itself with lack of replies.

on a semi-non related topic I am curious...has the idea that one earth ship from each country on earth could have been sent into space from earth and that Prometheus may just be the one that represents the United States or Britian ?

i agree with raakasan very well expressed perfect grammar and english.. if you don´t like a post there is no need to be harsh unless it offends with religious or sexual comments by the way frantz english is perfect. The law here is that everyone post what they want, the law of us gives reedom of speech!!! and by the way many occidental countries too!!!

@ Spartacus A very interesting idea. We are making all kinds of assumptions based off of very little information. It would be within Scott's directing style to have that kind of spin.

Hi @Biomechanic, @Rakkasan, @Frantz, @mendi I appreciate your answers and your attention event if the subject resulted a bit awful. @Frantz and @Biomechanic are right I posted one topic twice I tried to remove the repeated discussion but apparently you are not able to do so. So It gave the impression of abandonment because i focuses (wrongly) in answer just one of the two forums. @Rakkansan is right, a poor thread will (not) care take of itself so that's why I tried to make any post reading worthy. @mendi, I think Is good to have a good balance of this and I appreciate your support. However I work as a Programmer and I heavly rely on technical forums that very often solve you most of the problems that the official documentation of the product doesn't. So it seems reasonable as @Frantz and @Biomechanic state that is better to post in an adequate way but like @mendi told, without goint to repress the freedom of expression.

Well first of all a web forum does not have a constitution like a country and there is no guarantee of inalienable rights like the freedom of speech. We are all guests here and are expected to act appropriately and respect the other members. The owner of this site can ban, bar or erase anything they want at will and for any reason.

wow I was thinking that this whole thing may even be bigger than any of us imagined 1st of all Frants posted once that this film will be 190 minutes long that is 3 hours and ten minutes. if true, and I doubt it but if it is that long than my idea would seem even more plausible and here is what I thought up Lets say this film spends much more time than I think it will doing EXACTLY WHAT RIDLEY SAYS IT DOES...feature a crew from earth looking for the origins of life and finding something much more dangerous instead... what if, at some point near the end of the film, earth itself, all of earth is summoned under specific terms to attend a meeting of all known beings to the space jockey/engineer race, or whatever race is even bigger than them or vice-versa, but because they have an acute understanding of earth politics, they tell us, for each different continent or different culture, and so that everyone on earth can understand whats going to go down, has to send a ship to represent their people back on earth at this summit. Maybe not exactly the scenario I am stating but somehow I think we may see a much broader thing here than any of us imagined yet maybe the derelict crashing is an outgrowth of all the people of earth and these beings we discover in space coming to some sort of universal understanding which could be good or evil...maybe they are telling us life as we knew it is now over and every being has to report to be assimilated into their culture, or maybe they are suggesting terms for all of us to work together in peace and harmony and still maintain our own. who knows but somehow I was wondering how would all of earth ever be represented properly in this if an British or American ship is depicted in the film, perhaps Prometheus is just one of what becomes many many more later on in the film.

either way I think I hit two little somethings at least... somehow it seems to me that more of earth has to be involved than just one ship from the USA or Britian, and... This whole thing may just be about a much bigger thing than any of us imagined at first. Think about what Ridley HAS DELIBERATLEY we think, said about it all. "On a Grand Scale", is another thing that he said that's gnawing at my guts.

@ Spartacus, 2 thoughts for you: 1. On the meeting of beings theory. Other than the derelict in Alien and the predators, there is no mention that I know of in any of the movies that mankind is aware of or in contact with other sentient lifeforms. 2. I always got the impression in the movies that corporations rather than countries really ran the show. So it's not so much USA and UK, but Weyland and Yutani.

Love those points Rakkasan and you are "prolly" right, I mentioned what I did because I hypothesize that in Prometheus Mankind becomes aware of the existence of other sentient beings. However, in thinking about what you said about "WEYLAND" {we always assumed there were 2 seperate companies but there in fact were not and never were as the inventor of this little name explained outright for us all} I agree that by using The Company as Earths rep they 100% get a work around that works in the scenerio I posted... all of that aside however, I still think something BIGGER THAN ANY OF US HAVE VEN THOUGHT OF is going on here!!! I also think Scott is having the time of his life setting us all up for something that's going to turn out far better than we could even imagine as well!!! I think Ridley Scott is deliberately UNDERSELLING and UNDER PROMOTING this thing and just look how "kickin" that's all working for him. I mean I really really think we aren't even close and he's going to ROCK EVERYONE's MIND !!! He's going to show us ways that ALIEN BEINGS have influenced Earth culture that we can't and have not even imagined!!!

There I totally agree with you. I think there are aspects of this movie we haven't even come close to realizing yet, and Scott is doing an excellent job of feeding us just enough to make it almost unbearable. How's this for ya'. I won't be able to see it when come out. I will be deployed so I will have wait until 2013 before I can see it. Bummer.
