MemberOvomorph02/13/2012I am an old school rocker, but last night I watched the Grammys anyways and was so pleased with sir Paul McCartney. He did the very medley I was singing at work last Friday, But the best was ADEL...who I had never heard nor seen. She made Whitney Houston's voice sound like a sad joke. The combo of the song she did and her singing style was Mind Blowing !!! II am now a FAN! Other than that it was the best Grammy show IMO, that I have seen in 50 years.

MemberOvomorph02/13/2012I listened while sculpting... Adel and Paul were the only acts I actually stood in front of the TV to watch... then it was off to: "The Walking Dead"!... Best. TV. Ever.

LMAO RICK
BIG TIME
and again guys, I saw the Stones, Prince, Alice Cooper doing "Go To hell" 3 of the 4 Beatles on this show plus U2 and dozens if not hundreds of other great bands...
But in my 50 years
that song and that artist
were the single best performance art I have ever seen on any Grammy show in that entire time!
I am beside myself at the POwer and raw emotion contained wihtin it as well...
She may end up being a Future legend with a voice and style like that!!!

MemberOvomorph02/15/2012I ain't got a problem with a singer's looks or weight. It's her voice that makes me grit my teeth!

MemberOvomorph02/15/2012I would say this to anyone that has heard "Rolling in the Deep" and then had the audacity to call her aweful....
That perfromance by Adel of Thats song, was the songle best LIVE perfromance by any artist at all in the past 50 years of that show !!!
Period.
Bar None.
You do NOT rekognize Talent when it is slapping you in the FACE !!!
& please keep in mind, this is coming from a 50 year old old school rocker who's father was in charge of Decca Records for 20 years!

MemberOvomorph02/16/2012Sorry mate! But each to their own I guess.
I just prefer vocals that don't go for all out power, that's all. Less is more n' all. And so many notes per line! More than a bank! But that's cool if she floats your boat. I ain't knocking you, just her :0)
Only in my thirties myself, but I prefer a bit of Neil Young or Crosby Stills and Nash personally.
But that's very cool, that your old man was in charge of Decca. I run my own UK based independent label, we've had air play on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 6 in the last six months. None of it sounds like Adel though!

MemberOvomorph02/16/2012I thought about it last night and here's my total take. I do not like HER, i think she is a very simpleton type gal from London or Liverpool, but what I DO like, what impressed me, was THAT SONG..."Rolling In The Deep", which was IMO brilliantly written by HER to suit her own style. I may have been a bit too opinionated about her but I stand by this point...If You saw her do that song LIVE on the Grammys and still think she was AWEFUL, IMO you are wrong and she wasn't.
Other than that, she does nothing else for me, I listened to the rest of the LP and do not like it, just that song, and perhaps one other on it "Rumour Has It".
But that performance, was MAGIC and GOLD, and because of it she is going to add several million dollars to her world wide sales numbers.
She is 100% extremely talented.
But again, in case you care and it looks like you do, sorry if I was rough about it but all personal feelings aside she has Big Time Talent to wrote and sing a song like that that well !!!
