Sorry buddy, but I'm not buying into that theory quite just yet as there is one particular 'doozy' of a fact being overlooked every time someone thinks about this theory.... look for the pic that shows the SJ suit/helmet/head and notice how far apart the eyes/eye sockets are! And then look at the stone head statue in the ampule room. Now, the ampule room affigy is most definately human-esque, granted! It's true purpose/representation - is anyone's guess right now. And as for 'Mr. Blue' ...again, a mystery right now. Although, we have only seen the chap's head from the side, sooo maybe his eye sockets are quite far apart, although looking at this 'side-view' of him I'm finding that a little difficult to believe. But still, the underlying fact here is how far apart the 'eyes' are on that 'thing' on the 'scanner-table' that some of the crew are examining. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not outright dissmissing that we're meant to be product's of the SJs. I'm just not convinced just yet that 'Mr Blue' is gen-u-winey SJ/or one of the ilk that are meant to don the thing on the table.

im pretty sure that whole thng about god creating man in his own image confirms it...that tall blue guy in the space jockey room is definatly human like but very tall prometheus apparantly stole the fire of the gods and gave it to humanity..thus enlightening them because they served the gods as slaves but once they became enlightened they rebelled..and the gods punished prometheus by torturing him... well i think the image of the TALL BLUE HUMANOID in the jockey room is more conclusive than eye holes...which are still located close enough to work for humans

i also read somewhere that on the set there were reports of huge blue guys walking around,maybe their going to be ten feet tall in the movie.also theres supposed to be an elder engineer or something which may be full size to fit in pilots chair,after all would you let your little cousin drive your car.

is it set in stone then that the ampule room is on an alien planet and not just on earth,theoretically the head could just have been designed and carved by humans.the blue guy might be in a different location altogether,i mean yeah the scene looks alien but could be mayan or some other long lost civ...just a thought

yeah theyre defnatly big blue humans...and humanity was created to serve them..aka we are "the little people" .. the gods in this are the big blue people

Space Jockeys & Xenos are genetically close relatives. We humans may even be close relatives to these two as well. Now, the Big Blue Man are different species altogether. They are the Engineers. Then there are another type of humanoids, probably what folks refers to as the Elder Gods, or Elder Engineer. How all this play into the plot, we're gonna have to wait till the movie opens in June./ IMHO, of course.

Dammit people, just a speculation. I COULD be wrong, you know

skeletel monstrosities have to fit into this thick broth of a plot somewhere.the blue guys dont seem scary,the mohawk guy looks like he could be dealt with easily,what the hell is going to be scaring us in this movie.

@Kiddo Those skeletal monstrosities are definitely there. Fox knows exactly the fan base of this type of science fiction movies. PROMETHEUS is touted as Fox big Summer Movie offering. There has to be a form of commercial hook somewhere. Ridley wants to scare the hell out of us. A super tall God-like humanoids may look awesome but they are not scary. Don't worry, you will be scared sh*tless!

I'm hoping the big blue guy is an 'unfinished mutation' and we see the Engineer as something 'completely Alien' like in the original. The fan pictures of the Jockey with multiple arms or something similar would probably be most fitting with the original Alien film. For me it would be dissapointing that the Jockey is human like, I'm already not liking the idea of the scene from Alien being a space suit; especially when you can see ribs and teeth. However, @Engr101, I also hope Ridley doesn't try to introduce too many different concepts and make the film into StarWars. I still have faith that Prometheus will be mind blowing..........

i think mindblowing too,lots of talk of FLT and time travel,sounds a little too contrived for my liking though.leaked synopsis said its the infected prometheus crew that mutate into skeletal monsters,then david slowly becomes human,the whole thing happens on earth but at the beginning of time.vickers ends up a starbeast then chases shaw back to the present where she ends up in a padded cell.theres always the hobbit in december if all else fails.

people still talking about the skeletal monstrosities ??? it was from a fake plot ... It already hard to make speculations on the few REAL infos we have ...but if you even start to make speculations on fake plots we are lost ..... there is NO leaked synopsis until now

I am not sure about Ridley folllowing the g-d created man in his own image stuff but I do believe that the Annunaki and just about all of the rest of the Ancient Alien Series may play some part in it and was in fact fodder for consideration to Ridley and that he may use a lot of it...the writting on the tablets for example ,as someone pointed out, looks extremely alike to that upon the Annunaki's "Left Behinds" here on earth.

considering the giant blue head...the giant blue guy..and the numerous religious references of creators that look like identical larger versions of us..im going to bet you..hell i will guarantee you that the space jo ckes are human rid ley if referencing a lot of creation myths with his material...the annunaki created humanity in that legend and they are depicted as taller humans...PROMETHEUS is the grecco roman creation myth...and finally there is the christian creation myth that states god created humanity in his likeness in his own image..so im guessing the engineers look just like us the whole thing suggests creation myths...even the line in the trailer says its somthing about our" beginning" could be our end..im guessing they created us and they can destroy us as well

the space jocks i think are the good guys. a race of beings getting rid of a alien race that just kill to survive, maybe the space jocks are related to humans in some way, i mean they have to pay the bills and things.......

i saw that image of the jockey the blue guy in the jockeys chamber...theyre definatly humanoid..im saying this because the guy is BLUE and hes also about 3 times as high as ash and the other humans were when they entered the jockey's chamber
