anyone else read that leaked plot summary

I read it also...because I wrote it. The "David turning into a human thing" was my trying to reconcile the supposed shot from the Comic-Con sizzle reel where David cuts his finger and bleeds "human" blood, and another shot where he's apparently "crying" (is it in Fassbender's contract that he has to do that in every film he's in?)...I figured that the androids of the Alien universe seemed partially organic, and I was trying to play up the "Birth of Man/2001" angle...but yeah, you're right, it probably doesn't make a lot of sense. But obviously, it's fan-fic...some schmuck(s) ripped it off from my original post, and posted it elsewhere claiming it was the real thing...despite my very CLEAR disclaimer pointing out that it was in fact fan fic. It's since gone viral. Go figure.

I have to echo buick in saying that it was a STELLAR fan fiction piece. To be honest I would be thrilled with anything related to the crew mutating, ship coming alive, so forth... I hope we see something along those lines. Knowing Ridley we will definitely get something awesome. We also have to give thanks that the crew has done such a great job at NOT spoiling everything! I can't wait until July!

Hey, nice to see you, Robotpo! I actually bookmarked that IMDB page a few weeks ago to throw at people who kept bringing it up on different message boards as being real, and all of the reposts were leaving off the (rather important) introduction that includes the "I MADE THIS UP". Someone even said that it seemed even [i]more[/i] real after seeing the trailer because certain facts meshed up.. I pointed out what you just said, that you were basing your ideas off of actual footage that you'd seen. You had some interesting ideas in there, but I hope you're wrong about time travel.. I know Damon Lindelof is involved, but I really hope they don't go that route! Still pretty cool, I haven't had the time to sit down and write anything up regarding the film, although I do have some ideas of my own. But yeah.. this guy's the real deal, he made up that "synopsis" long before it started making the rounds as a "leaked script" or whatever.

Hey Jockey2016, and thanks for the back-up/confirmation! :) It's amazing that this thing is STILL floating around, but, what can one do? Thanks for the thoughts on the outline...I'm sure the final film will be significantly different (and probably won't include time travel)! ;) And by all means, I'd be interested in reading other's views on what will transpire in the film as well. Perhaps you could post either here or IMDB if you find time to write-up your version!

Robotpo, When your story went all viral, I remembered reading it before…and tried to convince my Alien fan friends that it was fan fiction. BUT, most were so horny for PROMETHEUS action, that they just blew me off…satisfied in their invincible ignorance. Having said that, I thought you twisted a pretty cool yarn…even though I am a bit repulsed by the whole…God doesn’t exist, and aliens created Mankind concept…born of the Ridley Scott statements. I thought you’re work was pretty imaginative…and famous…though uncredited. Well done! ~N

@Robotpo well, i gotta say.... for being a "fake", it's a GENUINELY intriguing read. in fact, i've been going by that plot ever since i saw the stills / teasers, and now the official trailer. in my mind - - they match i was a bit turned off at the interjection of time travel, at the same time, it was put in there in a clever way, so i was able to deal with it the plot you concocted in fact so good / convincing to me, that i will be going by that one until i see the film for myself, and then possibly proven wrong by the actual film itself. so for me, it's a win / win situation. if that makes any sense well done there Robotpo, well done

LOL I knew I had read that Plot here and I remember reading the "I MADE THIS UP" part at the beginning of the post that contained it. Next thing I know its all over the internet being suggested as the actual Plot for the movie. No matter how much I tried to say "[i]Guys, this was fan-fic by some one on Prometheus-Movie forums!! The guy there never intended for it to be confused as the actual movie plot![/i]" ...no one seemed to pay attention to me. I guess everyone was just so excited at being one of the first to know what the actual plot was that they didn't listen to reason. Anyhow - nice story Robotpo! I'll be honest and say I don't like the part where Theron's character turns out to be a sleeper Engineer creation/StarBeast, but I liked the rest.
