Eggs on the ship of the derelict in 'Alien'. What if...

Something just came to mind. This has probably been discussed before, but I don't think this has been considered a possibility. Could it be possible that the dead space jockey on that ship is a scientist or explorer shipping back those xeno eggs for research on his own planet? That could explain why they were holding all those eggs. Or maybe the most likely explanation is that the xeno who bursted from his chest laid those eggs. And the craziest (or silliest) explanation could be that the space jockey is a biological arms dealer smuggling those eggs to another planet to sell for a hefty price to fellow aliens in the galaxy. Sorry if this seems like familiar territory, but just in case there was something we haven't considered, I figured I would post this. Besides, it's just fun to talk about it and a way to kill time while we wait for Prometheus. It'd be interesting to hear your thoughts.

To tie in the whole series i think this happen. Dead SJ is infected by whatever is in the vases. The chestburst from Sj is the Queen. Queen layes eggs. Its all tied in.

I know the Queen was not from Mr Scott, but the above ties it all together.

If whatever bursts out of the SJ's chest lays the eggs, did it also transport and neatly lay the eggs out in an orderly fashion in the cargo bay and then activate the "blue-mist shield" that kept the eggs nice and fresh as well??? Sorry folks. I just don't see how that works.

I thought Giger had imagined that the eggs descended out of a hole in the wall of the egg chamber beneath the derelict? Alien Egg Silo Also, don't the eggs have tentacles at their base? so each egg could slither and crawl into position relative to the other eggs?

Interesting I never thought of them as tentacles before i just assumed they were like roots drawing up nutrients to keep the thing alive

Yes, I think Giger assumed that they were tentacles but I suppose I'd have to find something like a direct quote to state that with certainty. I always looked at them as squid like tenticles, perhaps to keep them upright, and perhaps also to allow them some sort of movement.

Yeah it's safe to say the eggs were definitly PUT there by someone. . . As for the SJ, I'd say that the Queen we saw in Aliens, is possibly the chestburster that came outta the SJ all those years ago in my opinion. That would explain it's super intelligence at the end of Aliens!
