THAT'S MY STRAIGHT UP OPINION. IT IS AN OUT AND OUT MASTERPIECE AND WAS EVEN FAR MORE ENTERTAINING THEN THE WINNER OF BEST PIcTURE IN THE LIVE CATEGORIE "THE ARTIST".. RANGO IMO IS bar none IN THE TOP TEN FILMS EVER MADE! SEE IT! IT WAS NOT WRITTEN FOR kids! IT IS GORE VIBINSKI'S MASTERPIECE AND LIKE I SAID, ONE OF THE TOP TEN FILMS IMO EVER MADE.

I thought the animation was phenomenal (ILM's first fully animated film) and I did enjoy it, just not as much as you spartacus. My favorite animated film is The Incredibles. Animation wasn't quite as good, but enjoyed the story more.

The film was just brilliant for me, I have seen it about 12 times so far and each time I do I notice somethign else that's new. The noon time scene in the town is the kind of scene that drives Hollywood beserk with pleasure and I have to say of all the ANIMATED FILMS i HAVE EVER SEEN THAT ONE WAS BY FAR THE MOST ENTERTAING. But too each their own, what one man thinks is art another will say is crap...but if you are like me and can appreciate a really well written, no scratch that, a brilliantly writtent movie, than you'll love this thing~

Indeed a great film and I really liked the fact they got the actors to play out the parts instead of just standing in a studio booth

@spartacus Yep,I'm with you on that one!!! Not only the best animated film,but a darn good western too!!! the characters had a spookily human quality to them and the rendering of each character was amazing good call

@cinefan the Incredibles was awesome too!!! probably the best Bond movie ever to be made without 007 in it!!!!....oddly

I have to also add that I am a very long time Clint Eastwood fan {HAVE EVERY ONE OF HIS FILMS on dvd or digital download INCLUDING HIS DEBUT FILM "TARANTULA"} and the ending of Rango made watching it that much more INCREDIBLE !

@spartacus was a shame Clint didn't voice the character in the movie Rango!!! can't remember who did though?
