MemberOvomorphMar-07-2012 1:23 PMI swear I remember hearing something like this quote (I'm paraphrasing it) from the original "Chariots of the Gods?" that was televised in 1970 (I was 10). It may have been from a later knock-off like "The Outer Space Connection" or something else because I believe it was Rod Serling who spoke it.
Here it is:
"I've always felt like a stranger on this planet... a total stranger. I've often imagined a contagion from outer space as our fore-bearers, our beginning. Hence, our desire to look to the stars... our need for space exploration. We are drawn to where we came from."
It was brilliant and I'm not doing it justice, but I've googled 'till my fingers bleed. Any body heard this before?

I felt exactly like this on the train yesterday watching the never-ending mural of graffiti splattered on architecture that feral primates couldn't have even dreamt of building.
