MemberOvomorphMarch 11, 2012939 Views23 RepliesI was just wondering if people were going to watch the new trailer or not. I know I am but I thought I saw some people say they wouldn't want to watch it because it might reveal too much stuff. Thoughts?

The teaser trailer was made perfectly, I don't think the new trailer will reveal us more, than the teaser did.

At this point I don't feel like I have much of a choice. I'm obsessed, I'm on this site every day and now, I'm a staff member; it's required viewing at this point.

They made the campaign for this movie, in a way that doesent make me wanna watch the new trailer. part of the thrill lays in this movies secrecy. I had a period in my life when i never read the synopsis on the back of videos before renting them(in a galaxy far far away, where you could rent Vhs cassettes kids),
ALIENS THINK HUMANS ARE ALIENS

Yep I am going to watch. Saturday we are going to buy a new 3D 55" TV and it can connect to the Internet. Yeah, I will watch it on that instead of my laptop. Should be good!

I trust Sir Ridley's judgement.
Not a single trailer for Alien gave away anything about the creature or the plot. And given the amount of secrecy imposed to all those who worked on Prometheus, I think that the next trailer would just be another bone thrown to the audience, but without any spoilers.
Maybe they're going to release a 3D version of the trailer as well, and it could disclose the actual rating for the movie.
And yes, I am going to watch it! I don't think I could resist anyway...
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

People who post thoughts & opinions in a PROMETHEUS forum are likely to be more than just casual fans. I dare you people not to watch the new March 17th trailer before June 8th premiere. Use the honor system like that SEINFELD Episode "The Contest", LOL! I freakin' dare ya!

There's no way I'm not gonna watch the trailer. I can't wait for this film to come out and the trailer will get me excited all over again.

I respect anyone who does not want to watch the new trailer. I would think that coming back to this web site after the full trailer release would be a bad idea. There will be so much talk about it and new theories about it, you wont be able to avoid it.

What I want to know is why they used that stupid bass shit in the opening. Ever since 'Inception' there has to be some kind of BRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ bullshit in the music 'oh so dark and scary, it totally doesn't stick out'.
Generic trailer. It isn't looking promising, to be honest.
This is a prequel to Alien, yet the trailer and music seem very generic. I hope this just isn't another cash-in.

Are you serious Zen ??? The Prometheus trailer is already a little cult ...... the only problem i see with the trailer is that it raised the bar VERY high and so expectations are enormous .
March 11, 2012
what was you hoping for zen out of interest ? what would you do for a prometheus trailer.
what wets your appetite etc .

I will watch it (in fact, I can't wait to see it!).
And I am sure Sir Scott won't release any major spoilers. We'll get, probably, a few scenes from the beginning of the movie, perhaps with the young Elisabeth Shaw and her dad (the "major discovery" part has, after all, become common knowledge).
And let's not forget he needs to SELL the movie to the masses. Sure, the teaser trailer was awesome, but it was made with the fans in mind, hence the obvious nods to that rarely seen 1979 movie... ;)
