The Folly of Progress and Its Unchecked Pursuit

Following that with the Promethean myth and the origin of man's pursuit of technological advancements through history, it occurs to me there subsists a laps in judgement in his arrogance - his declaration that "we are the Gods now" only amplifying it.

There's a kind of attitude founding the statement that inherently tolerates consequence. The "not minding it hurts" is an adamance of purpose to forge ahead inspite of dangers perceived or NOT, that exist nonetheless, in the course of progress. The frightening truth of it is that Weyland's living mission statement may hurtle mankind toward 'our end' as the tagline states.
