MemberOvomorphMar-11-2012 11:48 PMIn 1979 Ridley Scott suggested that the Space Jockey could have possibly been using the ship to drop eggs on populated planets as to provide hosts...any discussions on this idea? The end of mankind?

MemberOvomorphMar-12-2012 1:28 AMI am not very familiar with past posts, but I think it has been touched on before. At least I think I've read mention of such things on the forum. But heck, let's talk about it again! We have a few more days till the next trailer comes out and just about every idea has been scrutinized 100x over, if you know what I mean...
There was a leaked script out that some people have posted about. I'm not sure if I read the same thing, but I caught a 2 paragraph quick synopsis that mentioned something to the effect that maybe the Sj's use the ship for terraforming other planets and that the xeno is like a planetary cleanup weapon. So maybe your right and the ship is designed to deliver eggs to planets.
Some spoke of the turret like thing possibly being a weapon or launcher. Interesting how the ampules are kinda the same shape and size of an egg. Maybe the SJ ship and weapon are 2 fold...launch the alien eggs to clean things up, then when their done launch an ampule to wipe the cleaners (xenos)out allowing for some simpler life(like us humans) to get a fighting chance at evolving.
Just a thought..
ALL generalizations are WRONG!

MemberOvomorphMar-12-2012 7:19 PMOkay, this is, with much proof (So much that I can not list it all), the truth about the Mala'kaks (Layman's term= Space Jockey), they are actually great creatures, not evil, but are more like intergalactic cargo holders, except as you know from the A L I E N series, if the stabilizer grid is disturbed it deactivates...YES, the eggs were for the wipeout of planets, but they were used for mass destruction only once or twice...but lets get to the point. The pale alien in the trailer, linked to the giant head idol, is the Mala'Kaks' leader. The eggs on that ship were also used as sacrifices to the superior Pale Being.. another thing is the Pilots wore bio mechanical suits, therefore when you see the dead pilot in the first Alien movie, the suit is corpse like and grafted to the chair and you can see a jaw, but only because biological mechanical creations CAN and WILL rot, because they are practically living in a way, so it rots and sticks to the chair and the body, kind of like when you heat up a stick of gum and it melts.. and yes the Mala'kaks were in favor of conquest, they had conquered a couple of planets.... all of this (even though most is factual) is my opinion.

MemberOvomorphMar-12-2012 7:34 PMRidley has said that the Derelict was carrying 'weapons'....
How those weapons were deployed is not clear....
The purpose of those weapons is not clear either...
I think it's safe to assume the SJs are not the weapons.
So that leaves what they were carrying ARE the weapons.
Whatever came out of the chest of the SJ in the Derelict is only a BI-PRODUCT of the original weapon (it had already morphed inside the SJ).
So... we're back where we started...what is the weapon..?
How is it transported (the ampules?)....
What is its purpose?

MemberOvomorphMar-12-2012 9:20 PMWell, Nephilim , it actually took me a long time to research this, but Ridley actually exploited his idea and concept of the Derelict as a masterpiece, as a cargo ship and kind of a temple in ways to the race...the weapons are infinite, but they all are xeno weapons (ex: The green acid making mohawk guy flip his sh*t in the trailer/ the acid making that wayland android from A L I E N flip his sh*t, too/ and the facehuggers that lead from the sh*t flipping big chap alien to flocks of them in the sequels.) and you want to know something amazing? the big chap (the alien with a visible skull from A L I E N) is just like the predalien( from AVP Requiem) ....the bud chap, unlike most aliens such as the warriors and drones, was a cross between a warrior alien and the pilot. so yes. your BIPRODUCT theory is correct

MemberOvomorphMar-12-2012 9:24 PMand no, they are not trying to end humanity...they are practically intergalactic weapon cargo elephant people :3

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 8:09 AMApologies if this has already been discussed, but has anyone seen this image of the space jockey before - looks like a frame out of the new film, but all shiny and new..
Look at the youtube clip below, but wait, then skip the ad, then goto 1:10 in the regular teaser trailer, and there it is, freeze framed for a while... looks great!

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 8:20 AMits been my theory since the beggining that the derelict was loaded up with some form of Xenos for the purpose of destroying earth as punishment for theft. Then intercepted by the company or on company orders and thus crash landing on LV-426.

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 9:11 AMMaybe Ridley is doing a political allegory for the immigration policies around the world.
OT: Don't buy overpriced Canon 5D Mark III. Send a message to these greedy corporations, you have what we want, but not at that PSYCHOTIC price. Buy Nikon. Buy mini cameras from Panasonic.
