Are we seeing a DIFFERENT 'being'?

If the mutated man we see crawling up the rover and then jumping off of it is the same thing tossing the man then something drastic has to happen in a relatively short period of time. Assuming the backup arrives shortly after the man is leapt on. 1. The foot in 4 also looks quite smaller and slender. Also, in the Day Two trailer, we see a crew member running forward with the flame thrower shooting it at what appears to be nothing. The disconnected fuel line is laying on the ground still as well. Maybe they CGI something in there?

This whole time we've been assuming Kuato has some kind of superhuman strength. What if he's able to do that because of reduced gravity? At this point, we really don't know; might as well throw all the spaghetti on the wall and see what sticks.

What I can see is that the thing grabbing a crewman from the preview is the same humanoid in front of the SJ chair.

I'd buy that for a dollar.

The mutated crew member is the character holding the balls. His name is Fifield and he is played by Sean Harris. I bet he is the main antagonist. He is converted by the Space Jockeys and they give him the floating balls, which are Space Jockey weaponry he uses to kill Milburn and other crew members. He then starts mutating into a human/xenomorph hybrid... (this is where the strands of Alien DNA begin to show)

This mutant is NOT the character standing next to the chair in the Derelict... that's the Space Jockey who actually is the master of the mutant...

After watching the progression of those GIFs....I would almost say that whatever transformation is taking place is happening at a pace, far and away, beyond any rate we've conceived to this point.

There appears to be someone dead on the floor next to the flamethrower still going off. I love how giant the mutant is!

I'm of the opinion they are creatures at different stages of development. The shots of the mutant leaping and the crewman being thrown look as through it's part of the same sequence. However the appearance of both mutants looks very different and I doubt the creature would undergo such a change in such a short among of time. The creature throwing the crewman looks a lot bigger and gangly than the mohawk mutant. The head of the creature looks a lot different too.

There are some really weird thing with timeline, to me atleast: The Facts based on videos + screenshots -2 armored cars, 1st one is RT01, other one is AT02 (Im 100% sure of the names) -There could be a third, but it's highly unlikely based on the pictures we have seen so far. -There are people dressed up in two different kinds of suit The odd things now: [url=http://www.avpgalaxy.net/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=18671&fullsize=1]1st picture[/url] Car + 2 rovers(?) driving out, cars start on different sides, facing different directions. It's also raining (from sprinklers or real rain?) Guy walking with flamethrower, having quite a different looking suit. Cars seem to be in same position as in 1st picture. So the cars change place quite often! This also tells that leaper-monster and the claw monster happen at very different time (or they decide to change car positions radically, doesnt seem logical though) Also, I think the Garage has big doors to both directions. There could something in the other end of the road too. One end of the road leads to the temple structure, while the other must lead somewhere to, it's a road after all? I wandered a bit to Off-Topic, but I think most of the stuff is important for the timeline of these monster-attacks.

The guy in picture 3 looks bloody tall!! Could this be leading up to smurf dude in the SJ chair room?! Could it be that there is more than one mutant dude?! Could the clip with the mohawk mutant dude leaping from the rover maybe not be in the final cut? I always thought it looked a bit crap anyway that bit. Intriguing but hardly up their with Gieger's finest - a mohawk mutant dude is the new creature?! Far out!!!

On the subject of "Gravity"... I mentioned after the release of the first preview Trailer in which we see Scott giving direction to "DudeInABlackSuit" using a HoverBoard of some kind and I said at tat time it seemed that was the effect Scott appeared to be going for, some sort of gravity manipulation scenerio...and if thats the case I believe it would certainly make any kind of "Dwarf-Tossing" a heck of a lot easier...no...?...LOL...Good Morning Fellas It's my forst post of the day and yea, I am weird. I don't think they are one in the same. Stands to reason that more than one crew member will be affected by the mutation, and the rover hangar is the largest entry/ exit to the ship. Most likely place for "alien" traffic...

I think we are going to find out that humans become the Alien race we are their origins created by the space jockey.

on the animated gif.. can no-one else see a "trunk" on the thing? Looks very spacejockey-like to me.. Look under the guy's leg. WHAT IF.... the orignal spacejockey in the chair in Alien, is actually a mutated human from Prometheus??

I can't see shit. I'd rather see a series of still images than an animation. Trying to get a good look at that thing and figure out what I'm seeing and I'm getting motion sickness. I can't tell now if the mutant thing has an enlongated arm or if it's maybe ripped off the guys arm or if maybe he grabbed his flamethrower and that's what it is and not really a long arm at all.

Oh, I see: Kuato is mutated from green goo that the android David got from Klaatu in the Zeta Reticuli system. And then Leeloo's vagina pops off and sprouts legs and scurries about, infecting other people with the French disease. These diseased guys turn into space-zombies which are known as the Borg who seek to create Locutus.

General comments/observations - 2 and 3 are clearly the same character. 1 looks female to me. 4 looks more Alien than any of them but is still wearing a helmet. Whether all 4 are a direct mutation /evolution is open to question.

Bishy - you are spot on, there is a dead body next to the flamthrower with blood around the head.
