Or it's just a film about some Aliens.

Not really sure how I feel about this "suit approach" to the plot. The big shock would then be, that we are all just suits...or? It´s an interesting theory, but a motivation to create Man, based on the need to experience a new type of consciousness doesn´t really seem strong or edgy enough. Sorry to be the devil's advocate, I really don´t have any theories myself, so who am I to criticise.

BRAVO! This would make a great SciFi short story! I don't think that Android David is a good story vehicle to cause destruction of mankind. As much later Ash (from original Alien) was Glitchy, David really can't be a character that could challenge Gods himself. Unless David is cyborg, made from Peter Weylands brains and synthetic human body? This way the "Android" wouldnt be glitchy. Peter Weyland did have a bit similar posture (stiff) as Michael Fassbender has said he aimed with David...

I like the concept itself ;-) Charlize Theron described her character Vickers as, "a suit, that slowly sheds her skin." Good effort Biomechanic :-D

Bio, Did you read my post about the Fake script-off? Are you are trying to get a head start? lol... I love it! But I'm curious about why you are hiding that fact that the "being" would be from another universe that does not abide by the same physics of our universe? And I have a little problem with the "being" being jealous.. I'll post later why I can't buy that.. over and out

You should get published Biomechanic! Be sure to include a glossary at the back, just like 'A Clockwork Orange' did for that idiom, so we can all follow along.

What would peak my interest is if the SJ "God" was not a singular race, but part of a hierarchy whose failure gets exposed to an adversary. We're their dirty lil secret, until we venture pass our solar system.

@Biomechanic. Wow, I want what your smoking ! I think you are half way there. The Space Jockey as we know it from Alien is actually a suit. The tall blue guy activating the chair is the real Space Jockey. Hence the giant Humanoid head, and also the SJ space helmet seen in the lab scene.

Quotoes... But I'm curious about why you are hiding that fact that the "being" would be from another universe that does not abide by the same physics of our universe?" "I don't see where I am hiding that." End Quotoes.. Well, did you hyperlink flatland after I wrote a response to you? I did not notice that is was hyperlinked on the first reading... A reference to "flatland" as a reality is very abstract.. whereas, "universe" is much more concrete. "Reality" is a very loose interpretation of "whatever it is". Which would indicate to me.. you just did not want to say "universe" for whatever reason.. lol... or you wanted to leave the interpretation up to the reader.. which is again... odd. Regardless, you are talking about a being, that does not belong to this universe.. But if you hyperlinked.. well then, I guess you were not hiding it.. lol On a further note, when the Weyland guy said, "M-therory".. this was a freak'n tip off. But I've teeter tottered on how it was to be incorperated.. But I think you have a blaze'n idea of how it could be used.. But no one ever said the BB came from a single tier. Quotoes.. "And I have a little problem with the "being" being jealous.. I'll post later why I can't buy that.." I will be looking forward to your post..... "...there has to be something in the story that creates tension. It's what writers do.".... "I know giving God human characteristics seems absurd " End Quotoes.. You pointed it out directly as to why I don't buy God being jealous.. lol. It seems that it is just fudged that "God" gets jealous, just to create tension. If I'm the reader or viewer.. I'm going to be in the crews shoes.. and if I'm going to be the crew, I'm going to have to know that I've done something wrong to make God jealous. Or I'm going to have to know why God is not going to under stand my android, before he meets him. As far as giving God jealousy characterisitcs.. I think it's fine, as long as the viewer can identify.. Did any of that make sense.. or do I just sound like an asshole? lol.. I think you have one of the best Science Feligion (yes I just made that up, here on Prometheus movie.com, check it out on the inerweb, it's not there) ideas that I have ever heard.. Ok , I don't know anymore.. my brain just stopped...

But if you hyperlinked.. well then, I guess you were not hiding it.. lol" I am pretty sure the hyperlink to flatland was there from the beginning however I have been known to edit a post to clarify or fix a few mistakes. I am pretty sure all editing was done within a minute of the original post and before any responses though. I would describe his world as a different consciousness plane I guess even calling it is a single dimension is wrong because he would not know what a dimension is, he has no way to measure it or compare it to a known value. A universe of measurement and stimuli is what he creates for the first time. "On a further note, when the Weyland guy said, "M-therory".. this was a freak'n tip off. But I've teeter tottered on how it was to be incorperated.. But I think you have a blaze'n idea of how it could be used.. But no one ever said the BB came from a single tier." This was just an off the wall idea more theology than scientific fact. However I was thinking maybe his consciousness somehow resides in aThe singularity and he was able to manipulate it into something new. "You pointed it out directly as to why I don't buy God being jealous.. lol. It seems that it is just fudged that "God" gets jealous, just to create tension. If I'm the reader or viewer.. I'm going to be in the crews shoes.. and if I'm going to be the crew, I'm going to have to know that I've done something wrong to make God jealous. I think it's fine, as long as the viewer can identify.." Well just like in life sometimes you don't know why someone is angry with you until it's too late. I think it would be interesting for the crew to try to discover why they were met with such hostility. Most believe they are going in on a peaceful mission of discovery although there are probably sinister motives in the minds of some. Maybe once humanity gets too close to doing real damage the engineer realizes he can't ignore his mistake any longer. He must put more effort into extermination. To kill you must learn about your victim. What will kill it? Maybe he is experimenting on them to find out what will eradicate them fully. I think you know where I am going with this. "Did any of that make sense.. or do I just sound like an asshole? lol.." It's fine : ) I enjoy this kind of intelligent debate and was the reason I joined this site. "I think you have one of the best Science Feligion (yes I just made that up, here on Prometheus movie.com, check it out on the inerweb, it's not there) ideas that I have ever heard.. Ok , I don't know anymore.. my brain just stopped..." I also remember that from childhood and love it! That explains the concept pretty well actually especially when the line is able to form the complex shapes by willpower. Thank you so much for posting that here. Oh and i am not on any hard drugs everyone. I did however take an Alka-Seltzer Plus before writing this...

You just blew my mind Biomechanic. That story would take 4 films to make the viewer understand . I like it! But I have a strong feeling that Prometheus is going to revolve around a "less is more" theory. But like I said, I found your excerpt extremely, extremely fascinating.

Wow, I did not expect this much support. : ) Thank you all. Ghorgul, Thanks for the support. Kickstarter is very interesting concept. I ran across it before a while back working on some electronic projects. I like very much the idea of open source collaboration. Realistically though I think maybe starting something like this as a graphic novel might be a better first step and if it is well received maybe then get some animators together to produce a short film kind of like Big Buck Bunny that could be entered into some film festivals. If I was really going to do that I think I would use some other ideas I've been kicking around that are similar just to avoid clashing with the Prometheus and Alien universe. It would require talented volunteer artists more than funding though. Ones who share my artistic vision and are very open minded and flexible. Management would be key to this and that is something I don't have much time for so right now. Something like this might be fun: Do the Evolution Thanks Spartacus for the camera offer but we might need something built by CERN to actually realize some of the sequences : )

It's an interesting theory... I think that the only reason to create somthing is to be able to use it or have some kind of purpose so what would have been the reasons for our subsequent creation... I feel that the Space Jockey race are trying to create the ultimate lifeform to infuse themselves with to eveolve themselves or different strands of themselves onto other planets or different environments it's a quick way to adapt whilst still have enough similarities to reproduce also perhaps. But I cannot help but feel that your theory falls over at that etherial being or sentient being created man to experience Earth or the universe... Because I think they would have already had their own physical form and experienced much before going onto create other physical life forms... The story that is told again and again is that GOD WAS ALONE and created others to cure the lonliness... But this would have been others like him / it and then go on to create somthing like Mankind for whatever the purpose was.... Ancient gods are different from modern religeon as we are all told now by and large there is only one god but in ancient times there were many gods for different purposes or to represent possesion of different unique skills... So that would correlate more to a race that works together to do these experiments for a purpose but it could have been to create the ultimate lifeform and mix themselves with this creature... And then repeat

Ronster, I am suggesting their was absolutely nothing in existence except this consciousness. It is before the big bang. Why can't it be monotheistic? He created what we know as reality from pure inspiration. He then created a body with five senses to be able to experience that world. He created man simply. I drew inspiration from the story of Adam Kadmon He experimented with dinosaurs, and fish and mammals but Man was his best prototype design and he fell in love with it and made a statue of it to remind him of his feat. Then he decided to divide himself to experience himself. He made many copies and divisions for collaboration. He wanted himself in all our bodies except something arose inside us before God could enter. The independent soul that arose in our bodies rejected God's attempt at controlling. He tried many ways to make it work. He tried to tell us to allow God to enter through magic texts, He created religions to make us see it is he that is in control, He threatened us with petulance and plague if we did not submit. Our chaotic soul could not be tamed or fully understood so he felt hopeless. He attempted to destroy our bodies with disease but we learn and adapt and were too smart to be fully eradicated. We have an uncanny ability to survive against all odds. He then goes about his business and ignores us. The things like the religions and the plagues remain with us though. Suddenly when we start traveling vast distances of space and begin to unravel the mysteries that he holds secret (m-theory) through the help of very smart computers and androids we start encroaching on his world. Then we arrive on LV-426 and directly threaten his souls that stored in those ampules. Perhaps we contaminated them with nanotech and they became mutant nanobiomechanoids searching for a body in inhabit. They find humans and recognize the old technology and try to enter. Again they are violently rejected (mowhawk man) He comes to put an end to it, studies humanity more than he wanted and creates a great new plague. But again man adapts and chaos prevails and his own weapon is turned on him and his bio suit and destroys his vessel for experience on that planet. It's just a thought experiment nothing more.
