Profile Pics Explained

Enderwiigin, well I chose mine for two reasons. First I searched for a pic that I had not seen on this site. Nothing more annoying than seeing the same pic for every user. Secondly and most important to me, I chose my screen name and pic because I am an Alien purist. Although I have enjoyed the other Alien films, Alien stands alone. I felt the Facehuggers and my name choice represent the Origin of this whole thing. So there ya go! Long answer to a short question.

Fascinating Xeno fascinating! Hope you dont mind if I call you Xeno. Thats the type of stuff I'm after.

@ Enderwiggin--> Fabulous Post man, I love it, In My case it was just a question i felt of finding something that suited my personality, and I Love creativeness or anything I "decide" is "creative" to me...so when I saw all of the animated gifs popping up when "R8" began his offering, I decided to try to find that dancing Xeno from "Ghostbusters" . Everyone seemed to agree it suited me best. Iam 49...I love to entertain and made a living for a while delivering a Male & female Stripping Gorilla aming other characters. My Mom is a singer and my dad is/was in Charge of Decca Records and irwin Toy.

great post. my picture is taken from a movie called communion from 1989. It was maby one of the first sci fi movies i ever saw, and is therefore a huge reason to why i love the genre so much to this day. if im not mistaken it is based on a book by mr. whitley strieber, a famous sci fi writer who claims to have been abducted several times during his life. he is currently running a website called unknowncountry.com.. check it out. and hey, what about your own pic? cheers

Its alright Sparty they're both 80s classics! Irishandroid mines a tad obvious also. Pic is just a colonial marines helmet. Its a bit taboo to mention on this site but I am a huge Aliens fan and think the marines are an institution.

Ender....I'll probably be banished from the site for saying this but 'Aliens' is my favorite movie of all time ( tied with The Terminator and Bladerunner). I actually have a Cpl.Hicks action figure still in it's original pkg. Yes, I am a dork .

Well, it's obvious that there's Noomi/Elizabeth in my profile picture. Why? Because I liked her even before I had known she's in this project. She is very talented and looks beautiful, like some sort of an idol to me.

Sure Enderwiggin, you can shorten it. It is great hearing everyones thoughts and reasons behind their names and pics. I feel like I have spent so much time on here I know the regulars on the site. It was a great question to bring some new insight.

The names CantSpaceJockTheRock and I've got a little slice of 8 bit magic as my pic. A great scene of forwhadowing that lets you know these badass marines are tough but are they tough enough for our Xenomorphs? I grew up watching alien and aliens, just the sights, sounds ,ideas and pure cinema mastery have left a huge impact on my life. Sounds terribly cliche I know but alas so true. From making my parents rewind the vhs tapes over and over throughout the day to playing none stop with all the action figures, loved the green mantis xeno and the "clicking" drake for some reason, I still to this day can't get enough "Alien"!!!

Mine is one of my favorite quotes from Aliens in a witty "motivational poster" format. I love the first two films, but I try not to take myself too seriously.

this thread seems a bit old but oh well. i chose my picture because i love the movie it is from and its 2 sequels, its not well known but it is B-movie awesomeness. the first movie was supposed to be scary but it makes me laugh my butt off every time i watch it. i also love the little guys name, its the name of a biblical demon and one of the 4 crown princes of hell in satanism. (no i am not a satanist, a hobby of mine is learning about religions). i hope someone gets what movie it is from with my clues :)

Otomo, produced by Kanemitsu Corporation from RoboCop 3. It was an interesting figure yet short lived in the movie. I can't recall it saying a single word... but it makes quite a kick-ass synth.
