Take a look at this entry from the Weyland Industries time line: Weyland Industries earns patent number 18,364,003 for Method and Apparatus for device able to temporarily restart brain activity of deceased individuals. Could it be that whoever utters those immortal words from the trailer are doing so after death? Via the re-animating procedure mentioned above? So much to look through now - so many tit bits.

i believe it the fact that they realize it was an invitation but a trap, and after the SJ realize humans had advanced to far they set out to Earth to wipe out humanity

Good point facehugger, maybe they were able to revive the dead sj head on the table to find out to much about something............wow. kinda like kane in alien, brought his head back to just tell them you cant kill it.....
