New Viral Site

Well, according to WHOIS.net, the registrara for the domain is SkyRocket Media, LLC - a web design and development web business. I checked their client listing and they didn't have Fox listed. So, I can't say for sure. Normally FOX registers their own domains and contracts it out to businesses to design them. Also, it would seem odd that they launch two websites with the same name essentially. WeylandIndustries.com and Weylandcorp.com? Seems redundant to me. Email them and ask.

Hi Bughunter - I'm not sure why Skyrocket would need a weylandcorp.com domain (I did the same WHOIS lookup last night), so I just sent an email to info@weylandcorp.com asking to speak to Sir Peter Weyland ... and pointed them to the TED2023 video... We'll see what happens...I wonder if they know about viral campaigns....they do now...lol

Look at the TOS (Terms of Service) page and you'll see Fox Filmed Entertainment, Inc.'s name all over it. So, yes, this is an official viral web site created for the Prometheus film. Edit: Oops! My bad. I thought OP was referring to the Weyland Industries web site with the Peter Weyland TED Talk.

Looks like everyone else knows now that when you go on the website, all that shows is an icon leading to its E-mail address. I wonder if I should send something.....I probably won't. Good luck to anyone else who does.

UPDATE: It's Official - the Twitter account and website are fakes - they have just confessed - shame, I was getting excited!
