I think your right. Just a thought but the shots of her getting to an escape pod tells me she will be of two purposes: first take back all the information gathered thus far (she's a walking talking computer), and second maximize / ensure the corporations return on investment (she was designed / programmed as a intelligence gathering entity who would place itself in such a way as to guarantee a means of leaving the ship).
