...most likely Holloway mutated, or possibly another crewman mutated (and apparently, the one who gets biomechanically linked to the Derelicts command chair), then who is responsible for the alleged chaos, within the upcoming movie? Is it something we're not seeing (or being allowed to see)? Or was this whole journey, nothing more than something that could "trip" a trap, should more malevolent desires take over; i.e. Weyland's Corps. greed, in that matter of gaining a foothold on the power of the samples? Because, I'm now thinking... What is that pile of dead "jockeys"? Who's head, "jockeyed" (essentially, in the "suit"), got severed off? Were there attempts from other species to gain this power, only to be trapped, and ultimately disposed of, in a certain manner? Getting to the points, in their respective missions, where someone in their crew, gets "jockeyed up"... Any thoughts…?

I think it's a trap. See my thread I just posted. I think if anyone from the crew the blue guy is David and not a human. The other dead jockeys... maybe they're are none left and one of the crew does become one OR what if one went psycho and killed the others and turned evil...

I think the Sj's are all dead, long gone. I do think David or one of the crew mutate into a new jockey, what i am trying to figure out is how do they get from showing a clinical look at david opening an ampule and the examination of a SJ Helmet or head in a medical chamber, To that thing attached to Shaw's face or body. How did that happen?

David would certainly know what the Star Chart was used/meant for. And he could very easily be the "mutated one" (big blue guy). The only pics we see of someone messing with the Star Chart, is David, and probably knowing or figuring out what it's meant for, and/or how it's used. And just like I stated in another thread, about Holloway, and his wanting to destroy Earth, before Weyland is able to bring back all the technologies, for the wrong reasons...... But wait................... If it IS David, maybe his deep logic/emotional circuits get screwed up, or manipulated by the mutation, to become a weapon himself, to protect, or to guard the secret of the urn's, etc. He's gleeful progamming for scientific research and intellect, gets turned into a rampaging spirit of protection of the "fire", to keep it out of the wrong hand. Ours. Maybe his transformation begins with his serious lines of, "...how far would you go...to get your answers. What would you be willing to do?" Those lines may mean more for his character, than we know, or speculate...

@DarthSpock, I think your theory is very sound! We've been hinted at that the Engineers are sinister in that "mad scientist" let's see what happens manner. So it's possible that when ever a species they've created actually grows enough to re-establish contact with them that they swat that species right back down. Hence the Prometheus myth being metaphor in the figurative sense when put in context with our relationship to the Engineers.

I seriously hope no one mutates into another species... that is just pushing it too far for me. Like with getting a dose of radiation and forming superpowers, when in reality they just get really sick and die, and maybe their offspring are born mutated... but usually just with defects, not into whole other species. I think Holloway clearly changes somewhat due to some sort of contamination, but I hope that's more of a degrading allergic reaction or something, rather than a human to space jockey mutation. I can buy into the concept of creating new life forms, but not turning one into another, that's just a little too far for me! Just mho :P On a side note, I was also glad they cut the human to egg metamorphosis from Alien for this same reason!
