Big things have small beginnings

From Weyland industries timeline: "David 7 can accurately replicate most human emotions down to the tiniest nuance while consistently achieving all mission objectives" i.e the android is practically a sosiopath with its own agenda. See Alien and Aliens. Bishop brings the facehuggers to the Sulaco, while all along gives the impression of being an okay guy. Who knows what to expect from David. His agenda is probably to bring back samples at any cost or casualty.

Small beginnings? Are we talking about cellular biology (i.e., organic life) or manufactured nano tech?

I'd like to think David will not follow the same formula as the androids on previous films, but since this does take place before the original film (i.e. pre-Bisop) it's quite possible that he is just as interested and programmed to see Weyland's objectives through and not the crews'. He also seems very entranced and maybe obsessed with the posssibilites of that small creature and of "big things having small beginnings" and will follow his own agenda.
