also i know that someone is going to say that it is too big next to the jockey to be the same orb, but if you look it is closer to the camera then the jockey, making it look bigger :)

Thanks for all the agrees :) and btw when will we have stuff like this? I want a holographic map of the galaxy now dammit!!!!! Lol

Don't you think that with a technology sufficiently advanced to have a functional holographic star map navigation system that the user wouldn't have to plug the destination into the floorboards like a 1950's era computer punch card reader?

i hope the periscope in the original derelict will be explained or whatever that huge thing is protruding from the jockeys seat.

Hmmmmmmm very good point lol but still, that's what I make out of it :)

I always thought it was a telescope, can't be a gun can it? It is inside the ship after all.

your point was very good and possibly correct i have no idea what that periscope or whatever it was is it could be something we haven't even thought of yet .
anyway i'm off to sleep later's guys.

That Derelict gun is a reverse way for Predator Yautja shoulder gun.
This spaceship is not the same ship as we saw in Alien 1, they are in different planets.

And this why I'm thinking David is in both of those pictures.
At some point, this thing turns crazy, and what's to be legit research and contact, turns into a corporate clean & sweep.
David's programmed feelings and nature, to do right, forces him to follow through whatever altering has already begun, or he voluntarily does it to himself, in order for him to complete the "doomsday mission", for Earth.
I guess his logic is, "if they're going to use it for the wrong things, then none of these humans deserve to exist."
I could be wrong...
CouchJockeyMarch 22, 2012
Latelly, I'm compelled to think it is some sort of multi-functional device.
You could use it for navigation, life sign monitoring, medical stuff, and whatever space jockeys do while taking a space cruise.
By the way: could be that some Alien impregnated member of the Prometheus gets on it to try and get rid of the infection, and takes the extra time to send the warning sign (and if that's the case, we all know how that turned out; none of the actions were very successfull...)!
That or its just an oversized paper weight :)

Maybe the chair locks you into place, after you've selected the "target", then empregenates the occupant with Xeno embryo "queen", DNA is shared, so the type of Xeno "born" will cause maximum destruction...
Ship runs on auto-pilot for the duration... Jockey gets empregenated... Queen born... Ship crash lands, or possibly soft lands on desired target... Full of eggs... And civilation is wiped out there...
I don't know. Overspeculating probably...
CouchJockeyMarch 22, 2012
@DarthSpock: Don't know. I like the idea of the chair being some sort of "impregnation" mechanism (and its phallic look would defenitelly be in line with Gigger) but the SJ looks too fond of it!
Don't know if the SJ is a masochist, but I for one wouldn't sit there if that was the chair's purpose :)
Any way, overspeculation is always good!
