Kind of bummed David is one of many. I had this whole robot-to-human-to "Adam" on primordial planet-to-our-own-ancestor theory. This would explain why the Company would have placed an android who looks like this on this (or any) space mission with a group of women and men. I, personally, would NEVER bother to leave the ship if he was MY science officer. I would just stare at him, wide-eyed, with my mouth open all day, catching flies.
