Well Zeta II Reticuli was briefly referred to indeed in the script as a nearby star because of the popularity at the time of the Betty and Barney Hill abduction incident. I'm starting to wonder if the planetoid is supposed to be in one of the unnamed starsystems with a number and the Gliese name now I did write an article about it a while ago on my blog.
