MemberOvomorphMar-27-2012 9:30 AMwhat is the black op Loki about that is under the "Derelect" entry? Is this a key to the Prometheus movie somehow? I'm sure this is known on the Alien time line but I've never heard of it before and the fact that it states that the Space Jokey race communicated the coordinates of the crashed ship to our government via Loki is very interesting to say the least...this started the chain of events leading to the "Nostromo Incident"..huh????
Great source of infomation...I got the above after only 5 minutes looking through it...who knows what else awaits with more time to read through it! thanks for posting this @Xenomorph King!

MemberOvomorphMar-27-2012 5:15 PMIt's my absolute pleasure, guys. I only ask that you please take a little time to thank the author on the Alien Encyclopedia homepage or its Facebook page.
Oh, and just remember that the Alien Encyclopedia is an ongoing project and, as such, is far from complete. So be sure to like the Facebook page or check the project homepage regularly to download the latest version when it becomes available.

MemberOvomorphMar-27-2012 5:43 PM@Xenomorph King: Hey, thank you very much for the heads-up! I'm always happy about new people discovering my project :)
@Giger's Dream: Loki is from the novel Aliens: Original Sin, of the six original novels that Dark Horse Press released a few years ago. Original Sin is some kind of sequel to Alien Resurrection, as it is about the adventures of the survivors of the Auriga incident. Johner's there, Vriess and Call, too, and of course, Ripley 8. There are also some new faces to the crew, and the novel's about the crew's undertaking to learn more about humanity's involvement with the Xenomorph and stop it. Telling more would spoil it, but the Loki organization is something Call has dug up when she snooped around the Network (where she also learned about the Auriga project). It's a fun read, more on the adventure side, and almost comes off as some kind of pilot for an Aliens TV show. But I fear that Prometheus might play havoc with the events in the novel.
...and in case you don't have the time to read it: I'm preparing the Original Sin coverage for the Encyclopedia right now ;)

MemberOvomorphMar-28-2012 4:59 PMOh, gosh! Hello, Markus.
I was merely doing my duty as an Alien fan. I feel more fans need to know about The Alien Encyclopedia. Just call me your promoter. LOL.
You're doing an awesome job, dude, and I, for one, sincerely appreciate all the hard work you're doing and the dedication with which you're doing it. So I say, from one Alien fan to another: Thank you.
Now, Prometheus-Movie people, go and download The Alien Encyclopedia!

MemberOvomorphMar-28-2012 9:39 PMLooks good, however how can you have an Alien encyclopedia and not include the Special Order as its own entry? Its mentioned with the Nostromo, but come on, it deserves its own entry!

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 3:16 AM@Xenomorph King: Thank you for your kind words and your warm welcome. I enjoy being here and talk with you people very much.
@arrgy: Thanks for your constructive criticism :) Version 3 will have that entry. However, please be aware that the Alien Encyclopedia is FAR from complete and an ongoing project, so stuff may be missing, and I'm aware of that. My goal with version 1 was to provide basic coverage of the movie and then some. Another important entry missing is the one for Weyland Yutani. That's because I'm still trying to sort out information about the topic.
