Evidence of Chest bursters in Prometheus?

Damon Lindelof: "I don't think we wanted to make a movie about facehuggers or chestbursters"

won't be the main line....but there will be some sort of "progression" that will include some sort of "chestburster" type creature, you can be sure of that. If you read the "Empire" articles (man, they are fantastic), you'll see that they will include, towards the VERY last minutes of the movie, lots of the elements that we are "expecting", after building a totally different and surprising story line...

I hope they don't. Those ideas were great and have just been ruined by terrible sequels, horrible comics, and awful novels. A direct lead in to Alien would be disappointing. The paragraph where the author in the Empire article mentions it isn't a quote. It reads more like what he is expecting to see. I hope he isn't delivered it.

nah, there won't be a "lead in", but there will be dots whereby our minds can draw lines to the "Alien" universe and evidence of this will be in the finale as a remarkable climax...

The movie itself draws enough lines in set and design alone. I don't think it needs anything else.

There won't be any chestbursters. Or anything like the Alien. The creatures will be new and horrid. People need to stop thinkng there will be facehuggers or chestbursters like we've already seen

And the empire article does little to not reenforce those expectations. It's sad.

I think there will be something like a chestburster in the film. I have seen images of something moving inside the stomach of one of the crew members (it looks like Shaw) from an earlier trailer. There might be design concepts that bridge both films. Will it be the "chestburster?" Not at all. But I do think we will see similar themes from Alien, such as rape, sexuality in outer space, birth, and bio-mechanical tampering.
