MemberOvomorphMarch 28, 20121094 Views21 RepliesI just finished reading the Empire article and can't believe how much info they gave us.
- SJ in chair including head is just a space suit
- giant head is face of creators
- SJ are grey/blue skinned
- last eight minutes might reveal how ship ends up on LV- 426
Feel free to correct anything that might be wrong.
I am starting to think that humans might be primitive form or variant of the SJ race.
This is for FRANTZ go to Bug Hunter's comment for the article.

The first and third ones we already know, the second was a fairly sure, and the 4th is just a maybe anyway - so not that much new info really.

I am loving the 4th ... different planet ... LV-223 (still going with that) ... :) ...
That's good then because it's unknown ... hence totally different ride altogether ...
I also thought LV-426 was a lot bigger than the planet they land on, HUGE actually ... it's more like the size of the planet we see on the left, as Prometheus glides down to the surface ... not only that, that larger planet has RINGS ... you can see these by watching the scenes when Prometheus lands ... ;) ...

OutlanderMarch 28, 2012
LV-426 is actually very tiny. It's only 1200km in diameter.
I'm still not comfortable with the idea of the SJs being large blue humanoids in suits, unless they meld with them somehow.

craigamoreMarch 28, 2012
Actually Gem]n[, LV-426 is just a planetoid that only a few thousand meters in diameter

Gem]n[March 28, 2012
Is it? ... damn it ... need to watch Alien again ...
Ok ... but what if the ringed planet could still be LV-426 though? ... I'm a persistant sod ... :) ... the take-off shows the rings better ...

Hi everyone!
So the physical appearance of the alien pilot is just a suit ? at least I would like to see some kind of fleshy symbiosis with the tall and bluish being... in Alien looks very organic, despite appearing to be fossilized.

craigamoreMarch 28, 2012
Gem]n[.......LV-426 is one of the satellite moons of a ringed planet orbiting the star Zeta II Reticuli...It is obvious that the planet in 'Prometheus' is either LV-426 or, more likely in my opinion, it is one of the other two moons....I believe there are 3 total moons, could be 4, I don't remember.
The literal size of the planetoid is not mentioned in 'Alien', but in the novelization of the film.....

Thanks Shane...here's the pic you reference........

@ craig. It was 1200km. they walked just under 2000 meters to get to the derelict. and they certainly didn't land on the other side of the planet. Lambert - " It's a planetoid, 1200km."
I may work for the company, but im really an OK guy.

How do people miss this stuff?

It's on the readout of the Nostromo in Alien that LV426 is 1200km diameter.
Trivia: The real Zeta Reticuli system is 39 lights years away and has 2 stars, but no planets.

I was about to say, a few thousand meters is nothing. A 5k race is a few thousand meters and that's about 3 miles. 1200km gives it a circumference of 3,768km or 2,336 miles.
For comparison the circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901 miles or 40,075 km and the moon's circumference is 6,790 miles or 10,864 km.
I wonder if the author did any research? In the movie, Ash says the gravity is .86 which I would assume to mean .86 the gravity of earth.

I would also like to confirm the 1200km after watching ALIEN last night. I hadn't remembered it was so small.

I am so appreciative that Scott is maintaining the integrity of his lore...he's the real deal, fanboys and fangirls will be delighted
