GuestMarch 30, 2012The notion is almost too silly.... I agree that its possible but....
I like to think that Ridley is sticking to life cycles here that are similar to Alien, and this means no transmorphing creatures thats occupy a host for a time etc. This body snatch idea is in too many other films mate.
However, we have all seen evidence in the trailers to suggest otherwise; the highly accelerated DNA moving globs and these worm like creatures. I just think we are only seeing pieces of a puzzle though, and we cannot say anything for certain.
My thoughts are that the blue man has nothing to do with the grotesque images of the worm and big thing with tentacles (which may be the same thing). The blue man is too clean and smart looking to have grown up from a squid!
As for the parasite using the blue man for a host as you say above, possible, but i really think that if these blue men/man occupies the temple/craft, they would be of far greater intelligence and know far more than we do of course, and would not succumb to the creature willingly. Espescially if they created or supervise the parasitic life.
Multiple species is high on the agenda i am feeling in this movie, and people seem to disagree with me when i say that the "hologram" of that creature running and disappearing again is another species to the blue man and worm/squid altogether, but i just don't know how or why yet.
To speak simply though: why the hell is that big dude blue ffs, and why is he biomechanical looking? Are they guardians of the ship/temple and its cargo that aren't truly alive like we are perhaps? If so, then what were their makers? hmm maybe the muscular creature running in the hologram???????
