MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:27 PMPicked up Empire mag today and was reading the info about the main actors and their take/impressions of the film. Was very intrigued by the line about Vickers being the one with the biggest agenda and that Charlize wouldn't say what that agenda was but moreso that she has close links to 2 of Prometheus's passengers.
We all know that she's a Weyland exec and reading this today i'm starting to buy into the theory that she may be an android as well as David and the other close link being Weyland himself who imo is on board as well though nothings been confirmed but has been hinted at.
Just something i picked up on today and i know there has been aspects of this touched on before but what do you all think?

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:33 PMShe may be an assassin sent by Yutani to kill Weyland or at least gain over tech that would favour Yutani's sucess of beating Weylan corps.

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:39 PMCould very well be Heustess, I know for her role she had to do a lot of lurking about in dark corners as can be seen from a few shots in the trailers, but it was the line about her having close links to 2 of the Prometheus passengers that really got me thinking.

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:47 PMMy money is on her to be the "baddie" as in she steals the tech, ( terraforming I reckon). Not sure if she would be working for Yutani, seems a little too contrived for my tastes but I wouldnt say its not possible. She does seem to be more like Ash than David though from what we have seen so far.

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 2:49 PMDid you see how Vickers was running through the hallway onboard their ship as she was tearing her shirt open? There was a cut or maybe a tear in her (artificial) skin just below her right shoulder. Maybe David isn't the only android on board, and maybe 'she' is the new edition to the Weyland Corp family.

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 3:00 PMApparently she hardly leaves Prometheus only has one or two scenes in a space suit, with those probably happening after Janek rams the derelict. I do think she will be a dark force in the film and she sure does seem very stoic.

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 7:15 PMi'm remembering ridley in an interview from long ago mentioning that Vickers starts off as just suit in the begining and throughout the film she sheds her skin. i always thought that meant that she changed from a "bad guy" to "good guy". but i'm very positive that she plays a very important role in the movie. can't wait to find out

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 9:57 PMdavid was a king's name
vickers could be a joke on victoria - a queen's name
elizabeth is also a queen's name

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 10:24 PMIf she was an assassin it would be awesome, Weyland is all obsessed with eternal life and someone sneaks aboard his craft and just offs him before he gets a chance to play with his new toys.

Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberOvomorphMar-31-2012 11:13 PMI think that many of the names in the movie are from Lawrence of Arabia, not on a play of words....
He enlisted as "Shaw"
Vickers was a type of machine gun he used
A.C. Fifield was a publisher that T. E. lawrence worked with.
also, one of the quotes "small beginnings" is from Lawrence of Arabia.

MemberOvomorphApr-01-2012 5:50 AMAlso,in the first trailer when Vickers and Shaw were running from the falling derelict,I don't want to say Vickers is running like a girl, but compared to Shaw, she is running very much like a female. An A.I. would be more athletic, just for the mere fact that it has an important agenda.
