Well YES.... It IS the dawn of MODERN mankind on Earth.. 50 to 100,000 years ago. But what I was trying to say is that then, for whatever reason, the entire TEMPLE COMPLEX had visited here. We already have how many new different life forms appearing in this?? black, worms, pale eels, squidbillies, Big Blue Meanies... What else?? If on top of that they start also having MULTIPLE SPACE TRAVELLING ALIENS, this thing is going to get completely ridiculous & convoluted... (But ummm.. maybe it will be... sigh... )

Yes i could be showing it vistiting Earth in that scene. And indeed after that it returns back to their world where it becomes that Temple Complex that would make a lot of sence.

Huhhh??... Nothing Noah's Ark about that. From what I understand, most theory sort of believes that our present state began as an offshoot of primitive apelike ancestors who began becoming bi-pedal.. but we sure as heck still did NOT look like veiny guy in the still yet. (I think the famous African "Lucy" skeletal fossils have been dated to about 1 million years??) Anyway, at some point (I think 50-100,000 ish years ago), there was clearly SOME CHANGE in us that happened that finds us where we are today. Could this be the event? Where our very primitive ape cousins with the very thick boney Neandertal skulls were set on their path to us?? A little cosmic intervention perhaps? And an "unauthorized" intervention at that?? Bad, bad, Prometheus!!

Oh... hahaha. Also, I should have pointed out that I dont think thats a "Jockey" there? Many have said that its the "bad" Jockey now being punished and witinessing his disease or torment unfold? I see that guy as literally being our grand daddy! :) ... and thats him trying to come to grips with who/what he is after being formed "out of clay" so to speak from "Prometheus".

Hi GEM, ( you with the pictures) I don´t know how to make hi-res picture in this forum but could you check out the English IMAX trailer (1.11 min length). And try to zoom in on the dead person lying in the background at 00:52 seconds!!! Who´s lying there!!!

Good point as it does look in that scene as though some kind of liquid is moving through the guys veins and it looks like his head has a dent or damage to it. In the scene slowed down you see movement in that damage to Skull you also see the viens apear. It could be a disease but also could look like he is repairing himself. So with that CanadaPhil maybe he started not as clay but some kind of clay like liquid substance and this substance is changing into that humaniod Character. So maybe it is the first Man being created from some kind of Sludge?

Yes... In the literal myth, I think we are formed from CLAY by the Titan Prometheus. But I feel that is in fact the first modern man at the moment of being created out of whatever the "Jockey" for lack of a better word has done.

Ok ok...I get it Prometheus not only trying to give us new technology but also creation of a race of Man on earth. Just that if derelict was leaving for Earth when it crashed, why would it return to Earth if it already been there generations before? Or is the SJ's ship a different race/function than the 'saucer'?
