MemberOvomorphApr-03-2012 4:20 PMFor me it will be The Hobbit.
And then no clue.
I would be certainly anticipating a sequel for Prometheus, or any movie set in the Alien universe (not AVP).
Or possibly something set in the WH40K universe (though I am pretty sure it would be god-awful).
I cannot think of any other movie that could make me so excited as Prometheus, though (not even Alien 3 or Alien Resurrection, back then. I was too young for Alien and Aliens).
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

MemberOvomorphApr-03-2012 4:46 PMTotal Recall
I'll take any adaptation of a PKD story, and this is one of the few that totally deserves a remake. I had fond memories of the original, but upon a rewatch, it is ridiculous and cheesey on a level that produces comic laughter, and the sets look like they were filmed in a shopping mall (some were). Hard to believe this came out between Alien and T2. It's pretty awful.
The new version, if you can go by the trailer, at minimum, has some spectacular environments that remind me of The 5th Element. Other action recalls Minority Report, which can only be good. Probably not an A level film, but I'm hoping it hits some science fiction sweet spot. Maybe it will surprise.
Looper should be awesome. Rian Johnson only makes good films, and this SF concept could be fantastic. (plus JGL and Bruce Willis).
Alfonso CuarĂ³n's (Children of Men) Gravity is said to have huge extended takes, and could be absolutely breathtaking. Can not wait to see what he does with this space survival film.
Dark Knight Rises--of course.
Star Trek --definitely

Completely agree with Total Recall. Although it apparently is going to be PG13? I saw a trailer for it yesterday at it looked absolutely amazing.
And Kate Beckinsale in Sharon Stones role! Wow!

MemberOvomorphApr-03-2012 4:56 PMAh, I forgot about Robocop in 2013.
I really hope it will stand up to the original and not be yet another boring CGI-fest.
Anyway, this topic is interesting, some good suggestions for my poor To-See-List.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 12:47 AMI am eagerly waiting to see the best SW film ever, The Empire Strikes Back, again in the movie theater in 3D... The last time I saw that film in the cinema was in 1980 and I was like 5 years old. The next time will be until 2016... in 4 years!!! I will be like 41 years old by then...
