Teaser/Trailers as Invitation

As Iwas watching the teasers & trailers that have been distributed so far I can't help to see the parallels between the curious crew of PROMETHEUS and ourselves. The teasers are like invitation to a massive gathering at your local multiplex. Will we see our Gods to be a disappointment? Is the movie a little fuck-ya! to the Believers? Will Ridley, our High Priest, be saying "I toldja Folks! No Free Lunches ! Hahahahahahahah!"

Yea I expect Ridley and a few others will be having a big old laugh when we're smacking our foreheads in the theater.

I would LOVE a Mel Brooks style con with the joke on all the fans. All the cast (and creature features) doing a break-beat dance and the makers in cameos beatboxing along to the tunes, lol. The sheer humiliation of the fans, the speculation, the anticipation, all piled and shat upon mercilessly and completely trashing the genre. Sorry, but I have a very perverse sense of humour that way, lol.

That would be funny as hell. Or they could just edit in the John Hurt chestburster scene from Spaceballs as the climax of the film. Imagine it, there would probably be mass geek suicides! Maybe not such a good idea.

very good point EGR101, in fact, I say, as do many Others, that HE HAS INVENTED A NEW ART FORM FOR HOLLYWOOD MARKETING COMPANIES..."THE TRAILER FOR THE TRAILER". I SAY ALREADY HANDS DOWN AND BAR NONE HE IS 2013'S BEST DIRECTOR FOR HIS WORK ON THIS FILM AT NEXT YEARS ACADEMY AWARDS
