Can someone tell me please...Obviously the best part of all this is the 4th still...and it has left me wondering as well as most of you guys, maybe not Snorklebottom or Biomechanic, but what's the deal with the 2 silver and Red Glowing Balls? Are They Shweaty Balls? Why is that character holding these Balls? Are these Human Balls or Extraterestrial Balls, can I play baseball with Balls like those? Do these balls create a forcefield? Are these Balls waterproof? Do these Balls contain Laser Beams? I have a Plehtera of questions about Your Balls now!!! LOL !!!

This is so fun.. I love this.. a trailer for the new trailer.. looks like I will be watching the new trailer.. Looks like the balls are being used for surveillance.. IMHO.

Boy I am STAFF and I am LOST..."Troll Magnet"...that's pretty funny... and why would any of us delete such a great thread? At the core of My Humour are some serious questions about that 4th picture...what the heck ARE those balls anyways? I fail to see why this request was made but I will tell ya what, if it does not {this thread} morph into a great discussion about that 4th picture and what those balls are I will in fact delete it for you!!!

spartacus, i think they are used to detect life or motion sensers. i bet they are used when they first arrive. im not sure what else they could be. b/c at one point they are flying down a tunnel, so maybe it checks the perimeter for any living organisms.

Anc, Ya, I bet the "red balls" discover a few things lying in the nooks and crannies of whatever they are in..

Oh and it's the mohawk guy throwing the balls.. hmmmm

whats got me about them is the way he is Lifting them up like that as if he expects them to do soemthing for him...very very interesting...I think they may be part of that elaborate senor/laser system deployed within the VIAL chamber room with the Big Giant head we saw...and where...lol...Where Jonsey is still waiting for makeup.

The red balls are tools, IMO, used to create a virtual map of the area. We've seen them before in the previous trailer.

Right sjobsessed, the orbs are a 3D virtual mapping device, almost for sure. They scan the walls and upload the data to a computer which creates a 3D model of the structure, accurate down to the nanometer. We have technology like this now, only ours doesn't fly. I'm sure if we could make it fly, we certainly would.

It appears that the "mutant" throwing the person has longer limbs than normal. And whatever "suit" the "mutant" is wearing, somewhat resembles the xeno's (for a lack of better words) exoskeleton. Membrane, Ok Membrane! You nailed it on the head! Lol. I can't tell but in the first frame of the "Altered guy", his head looks huge! It's either his head or the helmet.. and we both know they are only giving us a flash of this to drive us crazy. His limbs do look long, but why would his suit fit?

Anyone notice on the shot of the derelict in front of the Prometheus, just when the other smaller ship (escape pod?) zips across the screen - it looks like pieces of the Prometheus shattering... The sixth screen would probably be most epic scene of the movie.... when the Prometheus will crash into Derelict.

@Spartacus: Maybe he's not lifting the balls up expecting them to do something. Perhaps he's offering them up to "something else" that's a lot bigger than he is.

I am certainly not sure that the balls are human technology, whats making them fly? Scotts not one for throwing complete fantasy tech around, even the flying cameras in the TED video are rotor propelled. Who's to say the dude doesn't just grab the orbs when he's being scanned, he looks like a psycho, I mean the dude has a mohawk

Judging from the new screenshots, it seems more on more obvious that the structure they find resembles 'Harkonnen Castle' very closely, as I and many other people have claimed earlier. The 1st picture shows the top, which' form closely resembles Gigers design.. I also must stress that this Pioneer commercial is the only place this design has ever been used, as the Dune movie Giger submitted designs for was never made. I'm actually more inclined to say that they use a weapon of some sort to shoot down SJ ship. It's also odd how the SJ ship seems to be hovering stationary in the trailer for trailer..

A derelict in the sky, fully operational, and up to something! I read the leaked spoiler thingy =) , just watched the new teaser, and I AM PSYCHED OUT OF MY MIND!!! My imagination has got some serious equine size petrified morning wood (please forgive my vulgarity)! Another teaser that hits it right home. March 17, and June 8th can't come soon enough.

i dont think he wear something strange or have a mutated frame ( but hes surely mutated is some way ) becuase i think is the same guy that in the mini-trailers was"raised" while Scott was directing ...so he have basically a "burned" - destroyed suit but no great mutation .

I dunno Franz. There's some awfully long forearms and a big noggin there. I thought the head might just be a burned helmet, but then I remembered that guy's helmet was smashed in an earlier picture. Looks like a 7-foot E.T. to me... LOL

The "mutants" head does, to me at least, looks like the head from the alien in Alien Resurrection. More human DNA with some of the alien DNA. Who knows though. Great new stuff to ponder about!

I also really think that seeing the Prometheus ship, I think that the designers did a great job making it look like a earlier version of the Nostromo. Looks great. Also, the derelict really looks creepy in the sky like that.

In reference to earlier posts about the "throwing mutant scene" I also saved some screenshots and an animated GIF. All I can say is, that mutant guy seems not quite human anymore.. I agree. It looks like "half Xeno - half Human". Yeah, he def has that Stretch Armstrong thing going for him as if his limbs grew and he is mutating into something quite horrid.
