Some interesting stuff from the website about Giger's abandoned design for Harkonnen's temple (which resembles the ones in the trailers) that could end up in the final movie: "Harkonnen stands on rising ground, a sort of hill, and consists of jagged bones and excrement which slowly crumble into dust. More bones and excrement are continually being ejected from Harkonnen, which crumble and are swept away by the eternally raging storms" "The castle itself, a symbol of intemperance, exploitation, aggression and brutality with a magical aura which has a negative effect on all the inhabitants, is egg-shaped and mostly burned in the ground.." "The head of Harkonnen is a gigantic defence installation designed to protect the castle from attack by both land and air. The face section of the head at the front of the body can be lowered mechanically revealing a fortified skull which spits death and destruction.."

Well you only have to look at Gigers other Works to find it linked with Alien. The Xeno, The Derelict, the Architecture (both Derelict, Temple Chambers and Alien Hive) The Eggs, Face Hugger and Chest Burster are all in his works of Art, the same Art Work that has the Alien Cycle has what apears like Space Jockeys, by that looks like the Prometheus SJ not the Alien one. So its interesting that his other works not tied to Alien/Aliens etc, show a Eel/Xeno a Leech like worm and Hybrid Female in a sexual context. Other images of Worm/Leeches. And off course these Dunes.... Maybe these will all tie in with Prometheus?

Raging storms? Check we see a few scenes that look like a Sand Storm which we thought could be a explotion of some kind, maybe its not but connected to what Giger describes the Dunes purpose. The Dune Temples, all seem to have a head ontop... maybe thats where Prometheus gets the Head Statue inside instead of ontop. It describes the Dunes Function has turning living mater into Energy. (maybe thats why the SJ need us i.e the invitation.) "Harkonnen is a gigantic Moloch, which functions by converting living beings into energy. Every visitor is materially or spiritually exploited " Moloch means God/King who is sacreficed children by Fire to feed it energy. The Chair of the Dune Temple also looks like the one in the Derelict Cockpit/Bridge. The head on the mountain is just one of the revealed images that's really captivated me. I truly hope the head doesn't open up for battle or anything silly like that. It serves a powerful enough purpose for me by just exisiting. Like the huge head, it conveys a silent and frightening feeling just as it is. Who needs statues disguised as battle stations? A very tired and cliched concept.
