MemberOvomorphApr-07-2012 1:27 PMThe way I see it, you either believe the viral sites or you don't. And if you do, that means old man Weyland is meant to be dead.
Being sci-fi, it doesn't mean he won't be on the mission but this conflict alone makes me wonder how thick the corporate plot will be. Or even the comparison of CEO's/innovators being the "kings" of our time.

MemberOvomorphApr-07-2012 1:52 PMwell on the weyland industries corporate timeline is says that the sir peter weyland memorial library was built in 2065 indicating that hes dead but it also says:
"Weyland Industries earns patent number 18,364,003 for Method and Apparatus for device able to temporarily restart brain activity of deceased individuals.
August 16, 2071"
Im sure someone with weylands money would be into cryonics or something.....

MemberOvomorphApr-07-2012 4:17 PMSilly humans playing God again. Space Jockey isnt going to be happy when he hears about that lol
Maybe humans use that "dead brain re activator" on a dead space jockey?
I think the tech will be used in the movie somehow.

MemberOvomorphApr-07-2012 4:44 PMFor real, if Weyland could preserve his life for 50 more years he wouldve in the hopes of future technology making him pretty much immortal. Theres so many cool story lines this universe can go. I love it. Wish we saw more publications, novels, etc. on it. Anyone know of any Alien books that dont involve stupid Predators?

MemberOvomorphApr-08-2012 4:20 AMI think so. In this still there are 6 people, none of which seem to match the crew. So I assume another ship lands at some point.
Look carefully, in the background one of the figures is holding a walking stick. Problably an old Weyland

I think that resembles more of a golf club, perhaps one of the crew like to practice their swing in between hyper sleeps and is using it as a make shift weapon.
