Role of David 8

The more I see the different trailers, the more I think that david plays a major role in the main plot of this film. For example, when he questions -probably Shaw- about what she would be willing to do to have her answers... Or when he looks intently on the little "worm" wriggling on top of an ampule, with a dangerous smile on his face... Or when he looks at the goo at the top of his finger and says that big things have small beginnings... Or the rather disturbing stillness while he stands with a kind of helmet on his face...

I think it is part of the programming the androids get. from all the films where a android was present knowingly or not they have always had a curious kid like nature, i think from this being a prequel that doesnt change. David is marveling at the evolutionary structure and changes of the alien dna.

personally, i feel that the David 7 model that is in this film is in fact the literal "Prometheus" character in this film, i think his part is just as, in not more important / broad than Shaw or Vickers and i feel that David 7's character given the nature of what he is, already gives his character a far more layered surface than a basic human being "nature of what he is" - there's a strange irony there isn't it i can't say for certain without seeing the film, but i have a suspicion

David will play a large role in the film and his actions and choices will influence much of the events in Prometheus and I think will also have a large ties with Alien. Check the post it explains the thoughts.
