Odd Speculation

Patrick Wilson is down on IMDb as Shaw's Father, I think it's more likely that he is playing Vicker's Father. There have been a number of hints just lately about there being two other characters on board their ship, I think he is being taken along (along with Peter Weyland), both who have died in the hope that what they find will bring them back to life, is this the issue Vicker's may have? Also a few months ago someone reported that a scene on board a boat had been filmed between Guy Pearce and Fassbender, has anyone figured out what that was about or was it another red herring?

Eeerrrhhhh, Hello Zedwardson, I said that I think Wilson maybe playing Vicker's father… It was down somewhere that he is only in it for a short time as a cocooned man. It doesn't make sense for him to be Shaw's father as that would have been introduced early on in the story, like the first ten minutes thats been shown. It seems stupid to introduce the story like they have and not mention 'oh by the way Shaw's brought her dead father along', it makes more sense that it's what is paining Vickers?

Ok, I got my brain wires cross there Lambechop, my bad. I still can see Shaws father being important for other parts of Shaw (For example, her interest in science or religion for example.) Still, it will be fun to see.

I was thinking the same thing after reading a few descriptions of the movie earlier today.

I think Vickers is going to turn out to be an android. Maybe a a prototype, or even a one-of-a-kind model that Weyland had made. I think the recap of the footage seen earlier today basically hints at this. ...then again it could be to throw us off. Like Zedwardson said, maybe she's just acting like a droid cause that's what she thinks her father wants...

Vickers being the illegitimate or forgotten daughter of SPW is something I was thinking about, too. I would like it better than her being an android. Also for the value of the "I am your father" moment in Prometheus.
