Sorry if thread or similar exists, I didn't find it. I wanna talk about Alien, Giger and Freud. Gigers work is full of freudian imagery in a disturbing, horrifying way, and that's why I like it. That imagery Scott used to created the Alien. The Derelict is nothing but a giant female-leg-spread giving birth. The Nostromo-Crew enters the Derelict through a portal that reminds very much of a giant vagina. The Xenomorph's head is a giant penis. The facehugger rapes Kane orally. Kane dies while actually giving birth with blood splattering all over the place. It's all freudian imagery, and it's what makes "Alien" the best horror-movies of all times. In Prometheus - Official Trailer 2 (English) HD in 1:04 we see a giant ... what? Mountain? I see a giant tit. If you do not see a giant tit with a giant nipple on top, you probably have no idea what I am talking about freudwise. Please confirm or call me a nut.

i well understand your point here, you are spot on in regards to your psychosexual assessment of ALIEN, and in regards to PROMETHEUS you are right on track as well. i am not sure there will be as much mind-play in this new film, but "nipple mountain" as i read on Youtube seems to be a nod to what Scott and Giger did so well in ALIEN

i think that this things are evindent only if one want really to see them ... ive saw alien more than 100 times ..ive friends that saw them with me alot of times ...no one referred to sexual elements . I think one see what he want to see .Im not sayng that giger work is not full of sexual elements ( for commercial reasons more than else ) but in alien it require some ( big ) immagination . Of course there are ( alot ) people that think totally different to me and they are absolutely legit to agree with you .

Well as Giger was brought in to redesign the Alien in Alien3, he wanted to do a Alien that actually had a tongue as such and pursed it's lips, kind of kissing it's victims. However we all know that was not put in.. but defo get what you are on about in Alien and now Prometheus. How about Shaw getting rapped this time ( perhaps ) and her giving "birth" to old squiddy!!??!!! pretty sure that's sexual in itself right there.. You could also say mutating into a "alien form" this time around has a almost sexual feel to it.. some sort of violation taking over the body and rape of your own mind and physical appearence of sorts??!! or we have all got a dirty mind and love Alien Porn??? lol
