MemberOvomorphApr-11-2012 1:11 PMThat's what every moral man would ask regarding aliens. Yeah..sure! That's exactly the opposite from what drives Prometheus. The total wish of man to steal the technology of Gods, to bring it back, to study it, understand it and try to control it and use it at will...yeah sure again!Whatever! It seems that this kind of thinking has or will lead to epic fail for human race...apparently.
And here is my hint: What if the God technology (alien DNA, grey matter whatever) is neither benevolent nor malevolent, but is absorbed by visitors when they are there according to their "specifications". That is, if this is truly a God substance for creating living creatures, then it should be neutral in nature and only when mixed with visitors' DNA, then it would amplify what potential is already within every visitor. Potential to do good or evil.
So Gods don't want to harm people or other visiting beings. They have shared the secret and applied (appealed) to the goodness of their creations. It then seems that it's up to the free choice of man to accept to use it only for good. What he doesn't know is that he has to have his nature controlled and know that his self is good, otherwise the mechanism of the DNA mixing will turn him in the absolute evil organism, the xenomorph. The same substance could also augment the good seeds within a man and create a new creator (the engineer?) and not a xenomorph.
So the subastance itself, will be the Prometheus (eagle) for the bad visitors and a devine transformer for the good ones.
So it's not a trap. It's the way of the nature of this substance. We turn it to a trap or to a higher life form. The same would apply for the visitors mother planets. If evil residents have visited LV, then they have already decided the fate of this mother planet. And the ship tha leaves for earth in Prometheus is already carrying the new human-alien DNA mix it needed to fullfil its mission....(not so sure about that one)
Ok sicne this is rather too risky to insist on I will stop here, but I would be happy to listen to your thoughts.
