Indeed who would put against Weyland being dead but his body kept in stasis, and then in hope of using the Bio Former or the life giving substance to then give life to Weyland? We dont know how this movie may twist and for all we know some insane experiment could be that Weyland actually becomes the Proto Xeno. Sounds odd, and silly. But i think we have all used the clues to make assumptions about this movie, but i think Ridley is going to give us something out of the box, and suprise us. So while we may be thinking of the Space Jockey, Mutated Fifield, the Parasite carried by Holloway then he also Mutating, the Worms, the Squid Baby etc etc. Maybe the plot will suprise us and the progenitor to the Xeno could be none of the above, maybe it could be David or Weyland or something else and unexpected.

Also interesting on the timeline is the one about Weyland's affection for David (I can't remember how it's worded). Seems like Weyland's and David's relationship, almost like father/son, will play a role in the movie.

To me, that tells me that it just starts the brain activity and not the body. I dont think they would be able to start the body. IMO

maybe they use the synapse reestablisher to use Weyland's brain in David's body... what if David is carrying Weyland's brain and it kicks on and he turns into Peter Weyland. I'm still interested in knowing how Yutani comes into play, read the "fake script" and that explanation sounded forced.
