strange - i understand that pw is only present as a 3d "blast from the past" explaining the task to the crew before landing ??? this seems not to be all we see of him - he appears to be the 18 th secret crew member travelling along ... don´t know if this has been discussed before - but could it be that there is another twist in prometheus and pw is the driving force behind the mayhem awaiting prometheus crew ??? possibly pw is on the qust for a formula of eternal life or for enlightement of the gods - here we have a direct connection to the old myth of prometheus - stealing the formula of life instead of fire ??? sorry once again if this idea has didcussed before - but it takes too much time to search all entries here for earlier mentions of this theory ... regards chris

Looks like Guy Pearce in make up... a other alternative was that its Shaws Dad. He apears in the movie but only in a scene with a younger Shaw played by a child. So yes could be Weyland.
