Atmospheric & Temple.. Just a co-incidence??

Yes, I have heard mention of the huge water pool as well. Its curious how there are virtually NO IMAGES of this in ANY of the trailers??? Hmmmm... Are these water scenes an intricate part of the ahah!! moments in the story?? There are just so many things going on here... They have clearly spent a ton of time constructing all of these backstories and the reasons for all of these elements... but I do find the breathable air within the structure kind of a head scratcher... Is this Planet even the Alien Homeworld?? Maybe not at all?? Anway, back to your water points, if this thing is in fact a form of atmospheric processor of sorts, the water pool could be an element in the "scrubber" part of it if you know what I mean.

WHAT IF: ... the PODs (Ampules), containing the organic lifeform (in the chamber), produce AIR (Oxygen)? ... and so the key to part of the Terrorforming? ... wild & mental I know BUT on Earth marine plants DO produce between 70 and 80 percent of the oxygen in the atmosphere (estimated) ... FACT ... also nearly all marine plants are single celled, photosynthetic algae ... but maybe the alien organisms can do shed loads more work in smaller amounts? ... but they turn nasty if they get touched or get disturbed ... could be why there's moisture in the chamber ... didn't Holloway get some water in his eye? ... The PODs MAYBE stuck/cemented in the ground somehow and so DON'T fall over ... part of the processor? ... WATER POOL SCENE: ... This then leads to my unanswered question, I have posted a few times, about the WATER POOL scene that they shot in Spain in Ciudad de la Luz, audiovisual complex in Alicante, Spain ... filming occurred in a large water tank at the complex and a nearby beach in Alicantea ... and seen or heard nothing of that ... Maybe they are not connected but it's a thought eh? ... :) ... But a good point Phil ... made me think (light bulb effect) ...

The sjs/engineers seem to be being furthered as planet terraformers and seeders of life. This is actually not a new concept (take out the specific sj alien). Google Lloyd Pye and he shows Sumerian tablets with not a constellation, but a system of planets. Our system, but with the additional of a 10th (I guess 9th now that Pluto has been booted out the club). The ideas/theories in that book point towards the planet Earth being the second planet in our system that contained life. I own the book, read it once and put it away because the theories contained within are too rocking. Prometheus might be a bit of art imitating life if indeed Lloyd Pye's theory is correct.

seems completely feasible....i mentioned on another thread that there is some major disturbance coming from the temple's direction to send a dustcloud out that big complete with shockwave...could be terraforming kicking off? either that or its a huge ship, and like an iceberg, we only see the top of it

you bring up an interesting point, when i first saw the pic of the base of the citadel, it reminded me more of some of the carports at the base of a lot of shitty apartment buildings here in Lost Angeles, but your theory here is an interesting one to say the least and the fact that they can breath without their helmets while inside said citadel makes for a certain validation of your idea the plot thickens...

Yes the plot does thicken... I have wanted to bring up the issue of just how or WHY exactly is there a HUMAN breathable atmosphere INSIDE of the stucture(s)?? I mean, if this is fact the ALIEN HOMEWORLD and they evolved on this planet, then surely they can breathe outdoors just fine. Why would there be a need for them to have an oxygen/nitrogren atmosphere inside or terraform for it?? Were they or are they making these structures OR this entire world for US??.... Did something within the interior automatically sense the crews presense and create the locally breathable air for them right then and there??. Yep, there really are tons of things to be answered.
